HomeMy WebLinkAbout(0061) M&C 22-0148City of Fort Worth, Mayor and Texas Council Communication DATE: 03/08/22 M&C FILE NUMBER: M&C 22-0148 LOG NAME: 20202022 CONCRETE RESTORATION CONTRACT 3 SUBJECT (CD 2 and CD 7) Authorize Execution of a Contract with Urban Infraconstruction, LLC, in the Amount of $1,061,590.00 for 2022 Concrete Restoration Contract 3 at Various Locations RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of a contract with Urban Infraconstruction, LLC, in the amount of $1,061,590.00 for 2022 Concrete Restoration Contract 3 project (City Project No. 103444) at various locations. DISCUSSION: The Fiscal Year 2022 Pay -Go Contract Street Maintenance Program groups various types of street maintenance into specific contract packages. The 2022 Concrete Restoration Contract 3 project provides for the repair and reconstruction of failed concrete pavement at seven locations listed below under the Contract Street Maintenance Program (City Project No. 103444). Upon completion of the project there will be no anticipated impact on the General Fund operating budget. This project was advertised for bid on November 4, 2021 and November 11, 2021 in the Fort Worth Star -Telegram. On December 2, 2021, the following bids were received: Bidders Amount Green Dream International, LLC** $987,383.50 Urban Infraconstruction, LLC $1,061,590.00 Reyes Group Ltd. $1,458,014.20 FNH Construction LLC $1.151,785.00 Capco Concrete Structures, LLC $1,179,058.00 ** Green Dream International, LLC was disqualified due to the fact that its bid was declared nonresponsive and incomplete. Funding is budgeted in the TPW Highway & Streets Department's General Capital Projects Fund for the purpose of funding the 2022 Concrete Restoration Contract 3, as appropriated. M/WBE OFFICE —Urban Infraconstruction, LLC is in compliance with the City's Business Equity Ordinance by committing to 67.5% Business Equity participation on this project. The City's Business Equity goal on this project is 25%. Additionally, Urban Infraconstruction, LLC is a certified M/WBE firm. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2 and 7. FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as previously appropriated, in the General Capital Projects Fund for 2022 Concrete Restoration 3 project to support the approval of the above recommendation and execution of the contract.
