CALL TO ORDER
With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City
Council Public Comment Meeting of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 6:03 p.m.
on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in the City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200
Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
INVOCATION - Pandit Murali Krishna, Hindu Temple of Greater Fort Worth
The invocation was provided by Pandit Murali Krishna, Hindu Temple of Greater Fort
Worth.
PLEDGES OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE
OF TEXAS - (State of Texas Pledge: "Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance
to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.")
The Pledges of Allegiances to the United States of America and the State of Texas were
recited.

Motion: Council Member Crain made a motion, seconded by Mayor Pro tern Bivens, that
the minutes of the Work Session and Public Comment meetings of May 3, 2022,
and the minutes of the Regular meeting of May 10, 2022, be approved. Motion
passed 8-0, Council Member Nettles absent.

Mr. Malikk Austin, 6008 Meredith Lane, appeared before Council via conference
call relative to violence in the city.
Mr. Thomas Torlincasi, 1515 6th Avenue, appeared before Council relative to
division by calculation, Central Division B. Policy and not general orders, and
control of Council meetings.
Mr. Adrian Smith, 3625 San Rose Drive, appeared before Council relative to
reading each subject on the Council agenda.
Mr. David Mendes, 6016 Red Rum Drive, appeared before Council relative to the
short-term rental ordinance.

Mr. Rick Herring, 1801 Bolton Street, appeared before Council relative to public
art proposed for Bonnie Brae Avenue.
Mr. Ken Hicks, 1801 Bolton Street, completed a Public Comment card relative to
North Riverside Drive street lamps and was recognized by Mayor Parker but was
not present in the Council Chamber.
Mr. Bob Willoughby, 617 Fay Boulevard, appeared before Council relative to the
City Council, neighborhood associations, and the Fort Worth Police Officers'
Association.
Ms. Brenda Helmer, 4836 Birchman Avenue, appeared before Council relative to
the short-term rentals.
Ms. Janet Williamson, 3570 Norfolk Road, appeared before Council relative to
short-term rentals.
Mr. James Smith, 1208 East Allen Avenue, appeared before Council relative to
Atatiana Jefferson and transparency.
Ms. Jill Freer, 2916 Merrimac Street, appeared before Council relative to short-term
rentals.
Mr. Jarrod Roecker, 829 Timberoaks Drive, Azle, Texas, appeared before Council
relative to short-term rentals.
Mr. Jim Delong, 8704 Granite Court, appeared before Council relative to bridges.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Parker adjourned the meeting at 6:54 p.m.
