Call to Order After proper notice given pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, with a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Pro tem Bivens called the Executive Session Meeting to order and the Fort Worth City Council convened into closed Executive Session at 12:16 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall to discuss matters pertaining to the following: B. The City Council will conduct a closed meeting in order to discuss matters permitted by the following sections of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code: CITY OF FORT WORTH,TEXAS CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION DUNE 7,2022 PAGE 2 of 2 CITY ATTORNEY 1. Section 551.071, Consultation with Attorney To seek the advice of its attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act. a. Legal issues concerning the Aaron Dean criminal trial; b. Legal issues concerning Cause Number 20-0700; City of Fort Worth v. Abdul Pridgen and Vance Keys, in the Supreme Court of Texas; c. Legal issues concerning Cause Number 17-326386-21; Carolyn Galvez v. City of Fort Worth and David Fobes, in the 17"'District Court; and, d. Legal Issues concerning Cause No. 048-333817-22; Fort Worth Professional Firefighters Association v. The City of Fort Worth, Texas. (Briefing postponed to June 21,2022.) CITY MANAGER 1. Section 551.072, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING REAL PROPERTY Deliberate the purchase, sale, lease or value of real property where deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party. 2. Section 551.087, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS Deliberate the commercial or financial information or the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect. C. Section 551.076, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING SECURITY Deliberate the deployment,or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices. D. The City Council may reconvene in open session in the City Council Conference Room and act on any item listed on the Executive Session Agenda in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
