S'ECOND1 AMEN DMENTTO LEASE AGR-EEM"NTRACT NO.
This Second Amendment to Lease Agreement ("Second Amendment") i's entered into by and
between the City of Fort Worth, a home-rule municipal corporation ("Landlord"), and the National
Cowgirl Museum and Hal of Fame,Inc.,a Texas non-profit corporation, (,"Tenant"),.
fLECITALS,
A. Landlord and Tenant entered into a Lease dated February 2, 2001 ("Lease" , covering, Lot 3,
Block 1, Western Heritage Center Addition, being a re plat of Blocks I & 6 Ross Heights, Addition, an
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas as recorded in Volume 310, Page 32, Plat
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, this replat being filed of record at Cabinet 1, Slide 5951, Plat Records,
Tarrant County,Texas("Leased Premises").
B. Tenant has constructed the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame on the Leased Premises
and proposes to construct and maintain certain improvements on the plaza adjacent to the Leased
Premises ("Plaza") located on Lot 2, Western Heritage Center Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County,Texas shown on Exhibit"A".
C. Landlord and Tenant entered into a twenty-eight day lease to include the Ptaz,a into the Leased
Prem.ses on November 5�, 20013, (C,ity Secretary Contract Number 29283),
D. Landlord and Tenant desire to expand the Leased Premises to encomp;as,s the Plaza for the full
Lease Term allowed in the original Lease dated February 2, 200 1.
AGREEMENT
In consideration of the mutual covenants, contained in this Second Amendment, Landlord and
Tenant agree to amend the Lease as, follows.:
1. Leased Premises. Section 1.0 1 of the Lease and Exhibit "A" attached to
the Lease are amended to provide that the Leased Premises are comprised of Lot 2 and
Lot 3, Block. I, Western Heritage Center Addition, as shown on the plat recorded in
Cabinet I, Slide 5951, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas and as shown on the plat
attached to this Second Amendment to Lease as Exhibit"A".
2. Tenant's Notice Address. Section 13.01 of the Lease is amended to
provide that Tenant's notice address is as follows:

Authorization to Execute a Lease Amendment with the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall offame,
Inc. to Include Additional Land
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City: Council authorize the City Manager to execute a lease amendment with the
National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Inc. to include additional land as outlined in the discussion
below.
DISCUSSIONI:
On JDunie 20,1 200:0 (M&C L-12830), the City Council authorized a fift y-year lease agreement with the
National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Inc. (National Cowgirl Museum) for property located in the
Cultural District.
The National Cowgirl Museum has re uested a lease amendment to include the Plaza area designated in
the attached map. In consideration of the City granting: the lease amendment, the National Cowgirl
Museum has committed to making significant iirn rovemr ents to the property and maintaining those
improvements. The improvements include a fountain, acid Lure, and landscaping. A map of the location of
the Plaza and a copy of the pro, ae aim provements are attached.
