AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX-
ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED
IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN AC-
CORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER
XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING All EFFECTIVE
DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits
and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory be-
ing situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and
bounds as follows:
Tract #1 - being 66.1 acres out of the T. B. Taylor Survey,
the W. A. Darter Survey and the J. Jennings Survey, more fully
described as follows: Beginning at a point in the present city
limit line, said point being 13 feet west of the southeast corner
of Lot 16, Block 29, Kellis Park Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, and south 1,000 feet to a point; thence south 290 feet
to a point; thence west 1,676 feet to a point in the present
city limit line; thence north along the present city limit line
and continuing along said city limit line to the place of be-
ginning, and embracing an area of 66.5 acres.
Tract #2 - being a portion of the T&P RR Survey, more par-
ticularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the
present city limit line, said point being the southwest corner
of Block 9, South Hills Addition to the City of Fort Worth, and
in the east line of the old Granbury Road; thence southwest along
the east line of the old Granbury Road 1,650 feet to the north
line of the proposed southwest Loop Highway; thence easterly
along the north line of the said highway 2,400 feet to the south
line of the J. E. Foster tract out of the T&P RR Company Survey
#1; thence east along the south line of the said Foster tract
1,100 feet to its southeast corner; thence north along the east
line of said RR Company Survey 1,550 feet to a point in the
present city limit line; thence northwesterly along the present
city limit line to the place of beginning, and embracing 102.5
acres of land.
Tract #3 - being a portion of the Wm. J. Morgan Survey and
the J. Howard Survey, more fully described as follows: Beginning
at a point in the present city limit line, said point being the
northwest corner of the Wm. J. Morgan Survey; thence south along
the west line of said Morgan Survey 3,478 feet to a point, said
point also being in the east line of the J. Howard Survey; thence
west 12654.6 feet to a point in the west line of the J. E. Foster
Tract out of the Howard Survey; thence south along the west line
of said Foster Tract 1,800 feet to the south line of said Howard
Survey; thence east along the south line of the Howard Survey
and the Wm. J. Morgan Survey 2,400 feet to the westerly right of
way line.of the GC&SF RR Company; thence northeasterly along the
westerly right of way line of said railroad 3,600 feet to the
south line of the J. Armendarias Survey, said point being in
the present city limit line; thence west along the present city
limit line and continuing along the present city limit line to
the place of beginning, and embracing an area of 28.2 acres of
land„
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth Star-
Telle ram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in ac-
cordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City
Charter.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and ef-
fect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so or-
dained.
