AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO AGREEMENT
FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL (VICTORY FOREST) COMMUNITY CENTER
STATE OF TEXAS

WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and RPGA Design Group, Inc. (Architect) made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 44633 (The Contract) which was administratively executed on the 16th day of July
2013; and
WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary for additional design services to increase the scope of work
for design development, construction documents, and construction administration services, and
NOW THEREFORE, City and Architecfi, acting herein by and through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
SECTION I— SERVICES OF THE ARCHITECT, Paragraph 1.1, a paragraph is added to read as follows:
"Provide additional design services for design development and construction documents. The
cost of the additional services is $48,500.00, including up to $0.00 in reimbursable expenses for
the new Victory Forest Recreation Center. The scope of services is described more fully in the
RPGA Design Group, Inc. letter dated August 21, 2015, subject: Victory Forest Recreation Center
— Price Reduction Modifications which is attached hereto as Attachment "A" and made a part of
this Agreement."
2.
SECTION V- COMPENSATION TO ARCHITECT, Paragraph 1 is amended as follows:
"The total compensation for all of the assignments to be performed by the Architect as described
in CHARACTER AND EXTENT of ARCHITECT'S SERVICES hereof shall be a fixed fee of
$449,260.00 including up to $6,700.00 in reimbursable expenses."

All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and
effect.

RE: Victory Forest Recreation Center - Price Reduction Modifications
Mr. Clements:
In order that we might reach a clear understanding, please accept this as our proposal regarding
Additional Services to modify the 95% plans for the Victory Forest Recreation Center. It is our .
understanding that these changes have been requested to reduce the overall construction costs of
the recreation center to $4,800,000.00 plus the additive alternates listed below. We submit the
following for your consideration and approval.
I) General: RPGA Design Group and its team of consultants will make the following changes to
the current Victory Forest Recreation Center plans as follows:
We will make "Base Bid Document" modifications to the current 95% Construction Documents
as follows:
1. Change Gym structure, Fitness structure and Dance structure to a tapered columns and
beams structure (Pre-engineered metal building structure). At gymnasium, provide CMU
interior walls to 10'-0" a.f.f. for durability. All other interior walls to be GWB finishes.
2. Reduce brick veneer at exterior to provide a combination of masonry and metal panel
exterior finishes.
3. Minimize cost of West Elevation Canopies at Dance Room and Fitness Room
4. Replace exterior structured slabs at Dance Room and Fitness Room with slab on grade
foundation
5. Lower roof structure as much as possible to minimize cost
6. Provide MEP rough-in only for teaching kitchen; Owner to provide equipment
7. Identify the Large Entry Canopy as an Alternate
8. Eliminate the removal of the overhead electrical and communication lines
9. Eliminate all underground drainage
10. Eliminate the play structure, raised beds, benches and pavilion on the south side of the
recreation center.
11. Eliminate the pavilion between the two playground areas in the park.

Price Reduction Modifications
12. Eliminate the basketball court and associated crosswalk and benches in the park.
II) Additionally, we will make modifications to identify the following items as Additive Alternates:
1. Large Entry Canopy as noted above
2. Monument sign along Hemphill Street.
3. Decorative iron fence and personnel gate around the south side of the recreation center.
4. Fence along East Property Line
5. Site pole lighting along the park walkways
6. Additional Trees beyond Landscape Ordinance requirements
7. Hands Free Restroom fixtures

Riddle & Goodnight — Cost Estimator, has been excluded for this additional services work.
