AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE COMMON AREA EASEMENT ON AND CONTINUOUS TO
THE REAR PROPERTY OF LOTS 6 AND 7, BLOCK 113-R,
WEDGWOOD ADDITION, A WIDTH OF 19' AND A LENGTH
OF 152' AND ON AND CONTINUOUS TO THE REAR OF
LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 113-R, WEDGWOOD ADDITION,
A WIDTH OF 25' AND A LENGTH OF 175' ; PROVIDING
FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the common area easement on and continuous to the
rear property of Lots 6 and 7, Block 113-R, Wedgwood Addition,
a width of 19' and a length of 1.52' and on and continuous to
the rear of Lots 2 and 3, Block 113-R, Wedgwood Addition, a
width of 25' and a length of 175' be and the same is hereby
vacated abandoned and permanently closed as a common easement.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described common
easement is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
reserved therein for any and all existing utilities including
existing electric and telephone facilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

Mr. Harry 0. Liskey, Jr., representing all owners of Lots 2, 3, 6 and 7,
Block 113-R, Wedgwood Addition, has requested that the City vacate a
common area easement on and continuous to the rear property of Lots 6 and 7,
a width of 19 feet and a length of 152 feet and on and continuous to the
rear of Lots 2 and 3, a width of 25 feet and a length of 175 feet.
The subject easement was acquired by dedication for the purpose of recrea-
tion space and now the property owners wish to vacate. The vacating of the
easement will permit the individual property owners to assume ownership and
control over each of four portions of the common area,,
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections
to this request, The common area also contains electric and telephone lines,
and an easement has been retained for these facilities. A satisfactory replat
of the vacated easement has been submitted to the City staff.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject ease-
ment as requested.
