WHEREAS, I)y Ordin&nces passed &,nd app roved. by, the City Council
of the City of Fort Woi.,^th, being Ordiatuices Nos- 3669, 3670, 3674, 3676,
3675, and 3669, the City Council determined the necessity for and ordered
the improvement of portions of streets at six (6) locations, to-wit:
SOUTH GROVE STREET: from the southerly line of Morningside Drive
to the northerly line of Bowie Street,, known =, d, designated as
Unit No. 1.
DR IV STR=1 : from the easterly line of South Main Street to the
westerly line of Bryan Street, knawn and designated as Unit No. 2.
SAINT LOUIS AVIMMO: from the southerly line of Butler Street to
the northerly line of Dickson Street, : nowt aad, designated, as
Unit No. 3.
MAY STREET: from the southerly line of Ripy Street to the north-
erly line of Butler Street, known and designated as Unit No. 4.
MAY STET: from the southerly line of Butler Street to the north-
erly line of Dickson Street, known and designated as Unit No- 5,
GORDON AVLOIMEz from the southerly line of Bowie Street to the
northerly line of Berry Street, kriawn and designated as Unit No. 6.
WEEREAS, subseqzeat to ttuj passNge and approval of said Ordinances,
Plans and Specifications for said improvemonts were submitted by the Public
Works Director and said Plans and Specifications were approved and adopted
by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, Notice to Bidders was given as required by the City Charter;
and,
WHEREAS, the bi& of Texas Bitulithic Company was found to be the
lowest and best bid for the making and canstniction, of said improvemalt, to-
wit; Excavation of present streets and placing 61, Coyicrete Pavemetl,t, 71"
flexible base course with combined curb and patter and necessary appurtenances,
and placing 1-i" Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete Sijxface, all as provided, by said
plans and specifications;

Your Public Works Department, to which was referred the Bids for the
improvement of portions of South Grove Street, Drew Street, Saint Louis Avenue,
May Street, and Gordon Avenue, hereby respectfully reports to your Honorable
Body that it recommends the acceptance of the Bid of Texas Bitulithic Company

TO THE CI'T'Y COI CIL OF TEF CITY OF FORT WORTH, TZUS:
Referring to the report of the Public Works Department in connection
with bids for the improvement of streets at six (6) locations, being portions
of South G'rOTe Street, Drew Street, Saint Louis Avenue, May Street, and
Gordon Avenue, in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and to the proposed contract
therefor, it appears that the amount which the City will pay in connection
with such Contract and improvements is the sum of $31,700-00-
1 do hereby certify to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth
that the money required for such contract and expenditures which will be
incurred thereby is in the Treasury to the credit of the Street Improvement
Fund and not approprir,,ted for any other purpose.
