HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 25791-10-2022 ORDINANCE NO.25791-10-2022 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND EXTINGUISHING PORTIONS OF AVENUE D, AVENUE E, NASHVILLE AVENUE AND AN ALLEY, SITUATED IN THE POLYTECHNIC HEIGHTS ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 63, PAGE 109, PLAT RECOREDS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AND CONTAINING RESPECTIVELY APPROXIMATELY 18,430 SQUARE FEET OF LAND FOR AVENUE D, 17,737 SQUARE FEET OF LAND FOR AVENUE E, AND 20,384 SQUARE FEET OF LAND FOR NASHVILLE AVENUE AND AN ALLEY; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,TEXAS: SECTION 1. 1. That a portion of Avenue D, a sixty-foot-wide public right-of-way situated in the Polytechnic Heights Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 63,Page 109,Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 18,430 square feet of land, and as more specifically described in Exhibits "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference,be and the same is vacated, abandoned and extinguished. 2. That a portion of Avenue E, a sixty-foot-wide public right-of-way situated in the Polytechnic Heights Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 63,Page 109,Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 17,737 square feet of land, and as more specifically described in Exhibits `B", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference,be and the same is vacated, abandoned and extinguished. 3. That portions of Nashville Avenue and a sixteen foot wide alley, situated in the Polytechnic Heights Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant VA-22-220 Avenue D,E,Nashville Ordinance No.25791-10-2022 Page 1 of 2 County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 63, Page 109, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing collectively approximately 20,384 square feet of land, and as more specifically described in Exhibits "C", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and extinguished. SECTION 2. That the easements to the land in the above-described vacated public rights of way are hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities located in that easement are relocated at the owner's expense. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.
