Due to the existing constraints of 4'lane,40 mph and wide ROW,drivers have been conditioned they can drive 45-50 mph and feel safe. During construction,we've had trouble getting drivers to respect the traffic control and drive below 40 mph in the construction creating unsafe conditions for the drivers as well as the contractor. We've coordinated with PD but they can only spend so much time and resources on this location. Please see attached Contractor proposed cost of$700/MO. For comparison,please see attached TxDOT average bid price of$838.28/MO. Proposed price is fair and justified. It is understood and agreed that the acceptance of this Construction Allowance Request by the contractor constitutes an accord and satisfaction and represents payment in full(both time and money)for all costs arising out of,or incidental to,the above Construction Allowance Request.
