Call to Order After proper notice given pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, with a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the Executive Session Meeting to order and the Fort Worth City Council convened into closed Executive Session at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall to discuss matters pertaining to the following: B. The City Council will conduct a closed meeting in order to discuss matters permitted by the following sections of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code: CITY ATTORNEY CITY OF FORT WORTH,TEXAS CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION OCTOBER 4,2022 PAGE 2 of 2 1. Section 551.071, CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY To seek the advice of its attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act. [Tex. Govt Code §551.071]: a. Legal issues concerning Attorney Client Privilege; and Discussion regarding confidentiality of executive session items. Discussion of the process of Council Proposals. b. Legal issues concerning the Aaron Dean criminal trial. No discussion occurred CITY MANAGER 1. Section 551.072, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING REAL PROPERTY Deliberate the purchase, sale, lease or value of real property where deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party. 2. Section 551.087, DELIBERATIONS REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS Deliberate the commercial or financial information or the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect. Discussion regarding the R&D Credit Program with GKN Aerospace 3. Section 551.074, PERSONNEL MATTERS Deliberate the evaluation of the City Manager as authorized by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. Discussion regarding the evaluation of the City Manager 4. Section 551.074, PERSONNEL MATTERS Deliberate the evaluation of the City Secretary as authorized by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. Discussion regarding the evaluation of the City Secretary 5. Section 551.074, PERSONNEL MATTERS Deliberate the evaluation of the City Attorney as authorized by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. Discussion regarding the evaluation of the City Attorney 6. Section 551.074, PERSONNEL MATTERS Deliberate the evaluation of the City Auditor as authorized by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. The City Council may reconvene in open session in the City Council Conference Room and act on any item listed on the Executive Session Agenda in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. D. Adjourn Council recessed the Executive Session on October 4, 2022 at 1:45 p.m. Council reconvened the Executive Session on October 4, 2022 at 3:18 p.m. With no further business to be conducted, Mayor Parker adjourned the meeting at 3:38 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
