BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMSSIONBRS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:- THAT WHEREAS, there was platted and laid out an Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, ]=own as "BERKELEY" the map or plat of which was and is re- corded in Book Page 1%q of the Deed Records of Tar- rant County, Texas; AND WHEREAS, on said..3riginal map or plat of said Addition, there appeared Blocki,16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22, which lay South of Carlock Avenue in said Addition; AND WHEREAS, the owners of said Addition seek to revise said map or plat of said Addition in so far as the Blockshereinabove mentioned are concerned, and to close 'up and vacate a certain thoroughfare known as "Berkeley Place", which lies midway between the said Block 16 and Block 17 and to vacate and close up what was known as "Windthorat Court", which lies at the Southern extremity of said Berke- ley Place and which extends East and West through parts of said Blocks 16 and 17; and whereas, it is expedient and to the advantage of all persons concerned that such changes should be made, and that the revised map or plat of said Ad- dition should be allowed and granted; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO=ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PORT WORTH: Section 1. THAT the owners of said Addition be , and they are hereby authorized, permitted and allowed to close up and va- cate that part of Berkeley Place aforesaid that lies midway between Blocks 16 and 17, as same exists on said original plat, and to vacate and close up what was known as "Windthorst Court", which lay at the Soothe ft. extremity of said Berkeley Place, extending Eastward and 140,stward through parts of Bl,ocka 16 and 17 aforesaid, and that they, the owners of said Addi- tion, be permitted to utilize the area so closed up and vas cated as lots to be utilized, sold, occupied and dedicated for residential purposes; Section 2. That the owners of said Addition be , and they are hereby, authorized and permitted to consolidate said Blocks 16 and 17 into one continuous Block, to be known as Block 16, and that Block 17 shall cover what was formerly known as Blocks 19, 20 and 21, with the right to close up and vacate the thoroughfare or alley that lay between Blocks 20 and 21, as originally Platted, and t4at said Block 18, as originally platted, shall now be permitted to take in all of the said Block 18, as originally constituted, together with a part of S Page 2. Block 22, and that the remaining part of said Block 22 shall form a part of Block 13, as same is now delineated on the revised plat of said Addition. Section 3. That the owners of said Addition be, and they are hereby, permitted to extend, broaden and expand the alley as same appeared on the original plat of said Addition 'which then lay South of Block* 16 and 17 and North of--what was then Bloc ,s,, 18, and 10, and to name and denomixrat"b such expanded thoroughfare as 'WARD PARKWAY". Section 4. That said revised plat, which represents and contains the changes intended to be authorized and permitted by this Ordinance, (which is of record in Book 2�-Vq , page s-q- of the Records of Deeds of Tarrant County, TeRas) , iEr—heieby adopted as the true and correct plat of said "BERKELEY" and that same shall hereafter be taken and regarded as such and be embodied and form a part of the official map or plat of the City of Fort -Ifforth, and the office of the City Engineer shall be and is hereby authorized and required to note all the changes made in said revised plat to the end that said revised Plat shall be and is hereby made the authorized plat of said Addition. Section 5. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and it is so ordained.
