WORTH,
SECTION I.
There is hereby levied and shall be collected, as provided
by law, an annual direct special ad valorem tax for the year 1935 for
the support and maintenance of a free Public Library in the City of
Fort Worth, Texas, of three cents (30) on every One Hundred Dollar,
($140.00) valuation on all property, real, personal and mixed, situated
in and all personal property owned in the City of Tort 'Worth, Texas, on
the first dap of January, A. D. 1935, liable under the law to taxation
and not exempt therefrom;,by the Constitution and lams of the State of
Temes.

Terre is also hereby levied and there shall be collected, as
provided by law, an annual direct special ad valoremm tax for the year
1935, for the use and benefit of the Park Fund of the City of Fart worth,
Tomas, of nine cents (94) on every One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) valuation
on all property, real, personal and raised, situated in and all personal
property owned in the City of Fort 'Worth, Texas, on the first day of
January, A D. 1935, liable under the law to taxation, and not exempt
therefrom by the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, which levy,
in the aiWegato suss of nine cents (90), as aforesaid, shall be and is
hereby apportioned*
For park operation, maintenance and upkeep .0854 dollars;
For the benefit of notes dated I2A/24 issued to the West
Texas Construction Oovpmy for the improvement of Forest Park,
as recited in Ordinance Noe. 1036 and 1055, .0021 dollars.
The original amount of those notes was 052,000-00, and of which
there Is now outstanding and unpaid 09,000.00,
For the benefit of notes iosuod to W. T. Bailey, dated
2/24/32, for the purchase of certain lands for park purposes,
levy .0005 dollars. The original amount of these notes was
0,207.00, and of which there is now outstanding and unpaid
4,344.90;'
For the benefit of notes, dated 5/5/32, issued to W. J.
Bailey for the purchase of certain lands for park purposes,
levy, .0016 dollars. The original amount of these notes was
19,074.00, and of vUlob there is now outstanding and unpaid
For the benefit of notes, dated 2/24/32, issued to Green-
wood Cemetery Association for the purchase of certain lands
for park purposes, levy .0002 dollars. The original amount
of these notes was $2,480.00, and of which there is now out-
standing and unpaid $1,736.00; and
For the benefit of notes, dated 5/5/32P issued to Green-
wood Cemetery Association for the purchase of certain lands
for park purpooes, 1M .0002 dollars. The original amount
of these notes was $1,500.00, and of which there is now out-
standing and unpaid $1,050.00.

There is also hereby levied and there shall be collected, as
provided by law, an annual direct special ad valorem tax for the year
1935, for the use and benefit of the Recreation Fund of the City of
Fort Worth, Texas, of two cents (2V) on every One Hundred Dollar ($100.00)
valuation on all property, real, personal and mixed, situated in and all
personal property owned in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, on the first
day of Xanuary, A. D. 1935, liable under the law to taxation and not
exempt therefrom by the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas,
which levy, in the aggregate sum of two cents (20)2 as aforesaid, shall
be and is hereby apportioned.*
For Recreation operation, maintenance and upkeep .0160
dollars;
For the use and benefit of Recreation Funding Warrants,
dated May 15, 1923, as recited in Ordinance No. 92�, levy
o0028 dollars. The original amount of which wan $59,900.00,
and of which Mount $12,000.00 of this series of notes
outstanding and unpaid; and

For the use and benefit of a note issued to the Park
Department of the City of Fort Worth, dated 7/24/08, for
Z. 'Doat Golf Course, levy .0012 dollars. The original
:amount of which was 415,000.00, and of which amount
$10,500.00 of this note is outstanding and unpaid.
SECTION IT.
That there is also hereby levied and there shall be oolleeted,
as provided:: by law, an annual direct special ad valorem tax for the year
1935, for the interest and sinking fund upon: the existing bonded indebted-
ness of the said City of Fort Worth, of .4845 dollars on every One Hundred
Dollar (0100.00) valuation on all property, real, personal and mixed,
situated is and all personal property owned in the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, on the first day of January, A. D. 1935, liable under the law to
taxation and not exempt therefrom by the Constitution and laws of the
State of Texas, which levy, in the aggregate sum of .4845 dollars, as
aforesaid, shall be and is hereby apportioned for the use and benefit of
the said several series of bonds of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, as fol-
lows, respectively=

MOTION D.
That there is also hereby levied and there shall be collected,
as provided by law, an annual direct special ad valorem tax for the year
1935, for general and all such other purposes (besides those hereinbefore
anumerated), as are authorised, by law and by the Charter of said City of
Fort Worth, Texas;, of 1.0655 dollars on every One MMdred Dollar ($100.00)
valuation on all property, real, personal and mixed, situated in and all
personal property owned in said City of Fort North, Texas, on the first
day of lanuary, ,A.. Do 1933, liable under the law to taxation and not exempt
therefrom by the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas.

That these special tax levies, which are hereinbefore made, to
provide for the payment of interest and to create a sinking fund or to dis-
charge and pay principal and interest on any obligations due or owing by
tbs CA y-of:Fort Worth, "Texas, are not to be taken as in addition to levies
for the same purpose in the respective ordinances authorizing and creat-
ing such obligations, but the levies hereinbefore made are made pursuant to
and for the purpose of carrying out and complying with the provisions of
said prior ordinances, and ad valorem taxes herein are levied upon all tax-
able property, real, personal and mixed, situated in and all personal prop-
erty owned in the City of Fart Worth, Texas., as assessed, valued and described
in the assessment tax rolls and the tax books of the City of Fort 'Worth, Texas,
for the year 1956, and any supplemental assessments thereof, as the same have
been or shall be presented to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, by the Assessor and Collector of 'Takes of said City of Fort 'Worth,
Texas.
MOTIM VII.
That the taxes herein levied and authorized and required to be
collected shall be and become due and payable in two equal installments.
The first installment, which amount shall be fifty (5 ) per sent of the
total sum of the taxes due and payable for the current year, shall be due
and payable on the first day of October, A. Do 19359 and the second Install-
matt, which amount shall be the remaining fifty (50%) per sent of the total
sum due and payable in taxes for the current year, shall become due end
payable on the first day of April, A. D. 1936.
SECTION VIII0
The first installment of taxes required to be paid by virtue
of this ordinance for the current year shall become delinquent on the
first day of December, A. D. 1935, and the second installment of taxes
required to be paid by virtue of this ordinance for the current year
shall become delinquent on the first day of T=e,,A. D. 1936.
SECTION IX.
Should any taxpayer permit his taxes to become delinquent,
that is to say, should fail or refuse to pay the first Installment, said
installment being fifty (50%) per cent of the total amount of taxes due
for the current year, before the first day of Deoember, A. D. 1934, as
above specified, then and in that event, the second installment, shall
,also Uw44ataly become due and delinqUent and a penalty shall attach to
the payment of such taxes at the rate of one (1%) per cent per month, or
fraction thereof, for each month thereafter; and should any taxpayer pay
the first installment of his taxes as hereivabove provided, but should
permit the second installment of his taxes to become delinquent, that is
to say, should fail or refuse to pay said second installment before the
first day of Tuns, A. D. 1936, as above specified, then the penalty shall
attach to the payment of the second installment at the rate of one (1%)
per cent per month, or fraction thereof, on each month thereafter.
SECTION X.
That said penalty of one (1%) per cent per month shall be added
to said taxes in the event the payment thereof should become delinquent an
above set forth and said penalty shall attach on the first day of each
month thereafter, until the taxes shall have been paid, which penalty shall
be and become a part of said taxes and be payable as such; and provided
further that In the event of the publication of the delinquent tax lists,
or if suit is brought to recover such taxes and penalties and the delinquent
taxpayer shall be subject to the payment of said taxes, penalties and costs,
and the same shall be and become a lien upon the property of such taxpayer,

laws of the State of Texas, the said taxes with penalties and costs shall
be and become and they are hereby made a paramount lien to all other liens
whatsoever on the property on which said taxes are lovi*4#
SECTION X1.
Should any part, portion, section or part of a section of this
ordinance be declared invalid or inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall
in no way affect the remaining portions, parts, sections or parts of as*-
tions of this ordinance, which provision shall be, remain and continue to
be in full force and effect.
8 ITION XII.
That this ordinance shall take affect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage as provided by law.
