AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING TWO TRACKAGE
EASEMENTS CROSSING BLOCKS 5 AND 6 AND CRABTREE
STREET IN DIAMOND HEIGHTS INDUSTRIAL ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED B'Y.' THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described trackage easements
be and the same are hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and
permanently abandoned as trackage easements:
Being a 3100 foot wide trackage easement across
Lots 13 throuqb 16, Block 5, Lots 10 through 22,
Block 6, and Crabtree Street, Diamond Heights
industrial Addition, and across Lot 4-R, Block 6,
Hertz-Di amend Heights Industrial Addition to the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, said
easement being described by metes and bounds as
follows:
Beginning at a point for corner at the south-
east corner of Lot 16, Block 5, in the southwest
line of the St. Louis, Southwestern Railroad
right-of-way;
Thence North 23 - 27 west, along the northeast
line of Lot 16, the southwest line of said railroad
right-of-way, 100.0 feet to a point;
Thence North 27 - 27 west, along the northeast
line of Lot 16 and Lot 15, the southwest line of
said railroad right-of-way, 10000 feet to a point;
Thence North 31 - 21 West, along the north-
east line of Lot 15 and the southwest line of said
railroad right-of-way, 10000 feet to a point;
Thence North 33 - 57 West, along the north-
east line of Lot 15 and Lot '14 and the southwest
line of said railroad right-of-way, 65.0 feet to
a point;
Thence North 36 - 42 West, along the northeast
line of Lot 14 and Lot 13, the southwest line of
said railroad right-of-way, 79023 feet to a point
for corner-,
Thence North 77 -- 08 west, at 306.8 feet pass-
ing the east line of Crabtree Street, continuing
at 399.31 feet passing th.e west line of Crabtree
Street, in all 610,82 feet to a point;
Thence North 84 -- 04 West, 160045 feet to a

Thence North 85 - 52 West, 575068 feet to a
point for corner;
Thence South 32 - 30 West, 35.,23 feet -to a

for the beginning of a curve to the right;
Thence Southeasterly, along said curve to
the right, having a radius of 355.24 feet, a dis-
tance of 283.86 feet to the end of curve;
Thence South 31 - 21 East, 61.64 feet to
a point;
Thence South 27 - 27 East, 98.45 feet to a
point for the beginning of a curve to the left;
Thence Southeasterly, along said curve to the
left, having a radius c:af 500A feet, a distance
of 98.09 feet to a point for corner;
Thence East, along the South line of Lot 16,
Block 5, 6.69 feet to the point of beginning.
Being a 17.0 foot wide trackage easement across
Lot 12, Block 5, Lots 23 throug'h, 34, Block 6,
and Crabtree Street, Diamond I-Jeiqhts industrial
Addition, and across Lot 4-R, Block 6, Hertz-
Diamond Heights Tndustrial Addition to the City
of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, said ease-
ment being described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a po:int for corner in the north-
east line of Lot 12, Block 5, the southwest line
of the St. Louis, Southwestern Railroad right-of-
way, being 19.27 feet North 36 - 42 West from the
southeast corner of Lot 12, Block 5;
Thence North 36 - 42 west, along the north-
east line of Lot 12, the southwest line of the St.
Louis, Southwestern Railroad right-of-way, 26.21
feet to a poisif for corner;
Thence North 77 - 08 West, at 306.8 feet
passing the east line of Crabtree Street, con-
tinuing at 399.31 feet passing the west line of
Crabtree Street, in all 564.08 feet to a point;
Thence North 84 04 West, 163.65 feet to a
point-,
Thence North 85 52 West, 553.67 feet to a
point for corner;
Thencr.� South 32 30 West, 19.32 feet to a
point for corner;
Thence South 85 52 East, 562.58 feet to a
point,
Thence South 84 - 04 East, 162.35 feet to a
point-,
Thence South 77 - 08 East, at 183.69 feet
passing the west line of Crabtree Street, con-
tinuing at 276.2 feet passing the east line of
Crabtree Street, in all 583.0 feet to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort worth in the
fee to the land in said easements above described is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee
as provided by law,
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed,
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

requested that the City vacate two trackage easements crossing Blocks 5 &
" '6, Diamond Heights Industrial Addition. The two trackage easements, one
WQ" being 17 feet in width, and the other being 31 feet in width are adjacent

and parallel to a 25 foot gas line easement along Lots 4R and 10 through
34, Block 5, and Lots 12 - 16, Block 6, Diamond Heights Industrial Addition
LAKE as shown on the attached map.
Subject trackage easements, acquired by dedication, are not in use. The
reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections
to this request provided:
1. A 15 foot drainage easement is provided for the storm drain
system as it crosses Lot 13, Block 5, and
2. A satisfactory replat of this property is submitted to City Staff
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an
ordinance be adopted vacating subject easements as requested. A satisfac.-
tory replat has been submitted to the City Staff.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject easements
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
