AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT BECKHAM STREET ACROSS THE RIGHT
OF WAY OF THE ST. LOUIS, SAN FRANCISCO AND TEXAS RAILWAY COM-
PANY, FROM THE WESTERLY LINE OF SAID RIGHT OF WAY TO THE EASTER-
LY LINE OF SAID RIGHT OF WAY, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED;
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAUD; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE I*4EDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COU1fCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Beckham Street across the right of way of the St. Louis, San
Francisco and Texas Railway Company, from the westerly line of said right
of way to the easterly line of said right of way, said right of way lines
being fifty feet easterly and fifty feet westerly from the center of the
track, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated
as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and will
revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, save and except that an
easement is reserved for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
sECTIOR 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
