SECTION 1. Definitions

Glamor ijagpp. The term "garbage" shall be hold to nwan all animal and vege-
table mAter, such as waAe umaterial and refuse frar kitchenu., rest ulences,
grocery stores, butcher shopsp restaurants, cafes, drugstores, hotels,
rocmdng and boarding houses, and other deleterious adbetances.
Trash. The term "trash" shall mean rMish, much as feathers, coffee
grounds, ashes, tin cans, paper, rags, boxes, plass, grass, shrubs, yard
cleanings, graas clippings, leaves and tree trimraings.
ShiXoTION 2. MamLs—it ^lain Va"cant
It shall be unlawful for any person to sweep, threwi, or delposit any
garbage, trash, dirt, stagnant water or dwiA w.aimal into, upon or along any
drain, gutter, alley, sidewalk, street or vacejit lot or upan arky public or
private promises within the corporate limits of the city.

Everr ommer, acaRpont, tenant or losses using or ocaupying any building,
house or structure within the corporate AmAs of the city, for residences,
churches, schools, collopes, lodgps, coamarclal, I-,IusJnass and other P,,Ur-
rmses shall provide and maintain garbage cans and receptacles of sufficient
number and size, ag hereinafter specified, to hold the garbage and traah

A& of such owners, occupants, tenants, or lessees described in the
preceding section of this chagter AW provide a contAner for parbage of
not less than ton nor more than thirty gallons capacity, constructed, of some
substantial material, with a U#hWitting lid or cover and with handles
sufficiently strong for workawn to enpty conveniently.

We, owaer, occupant, tenant or lessee shall, in addition to pinviding
the garbage can as required by the preceding section of this chapter, pars,
vide and maintain as suitable receptacle for trash of not lose than ton nor

with a tikht—fitting lid or cover and with handles sufficiently strong for

Any person desiring a permit for the CaIlection, rua,,r'val and dispof.&al
OF parbage, trash anil ruUbdsh shall make a plication for such peradt to the
city council, who AM make or cause to be made such jrmesti�gabion as it
m' -a,y consider necessary in order to determine whather or riot tlae public con-
venience and necessity requiras the granting of such permit, and whether the
applicant is a fit and proper person to conduct ouch businems. The council
shall n1m.) teat erndne the anicmuat to be chargerl ftn', such pernit. In no evvnt
sheal the charge exased twenty-five dol3ars for each fiscal year of operation.

of the City of Fort Worth relating to the colleation, removEd, and disposal
of garbape, trash and ribbish except In those instwmase wherein the pro-
visions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with wieh other ordinances,
in which instances said conflicting provisions of other ordinances are here-
by repealed.
