CALL TO ORDER
With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City
Council Public Comment Meeting of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 6:01 p.m .
on Tuesday , January 24 , 2023 , in the City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall ,
200 Texas Street, Fort Worth , Texas.
INVOCATION -Father John Shanahan, Vicar at St. Andrew Catholic Church
The invocation was provided by Father John Shanahan, Vicar at St. Andrew Catholic
Church.

recited.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
23 -0100 Minutes -December 13, 2022 Council Meeting
Motion: Council Member Beck made a motion , seconded by Council Member
F lore s, that the Regular meeting of December 13 , 2022, be approved.
Motion passed 6-0, Council Members Crain, Firestone, and Nettles absent.
(Council Member Nettles took his place at the dais.)
PUBLIC COMMENTS -The City Council may not discuss or deliberate about a topic not
specifically listed on the Agenda, including those presented during the Public Comments
section of the Agenda (Tex . Gov't Code § 551.042)

sewer/septic issues at 9428 Ronald Drive.
Judith Harris, representing JP AR Real Estate, appeared before Council relative to
South Seminary Addition sewer extension requests.
Adrian Smith appeared before Council relative to accountability.

Patrice Jones , representing BAM 104 Southside Community Garden , appeared
before Council relative to public comments.
Manuel Mata appeared before Council relative to gun violence.
Gerald Banks Sr. completed a speaker card relative to profiling , police brutality ,
wrongful arrest/killing , wrongful prosecution, end qualified immunity , dictatorship
and was recognized by Mayor Parker but was not present in the Council Chamber.
James Smith appeared before Council relative to Police accountability / Atatiana
Jefferson at Hillside Community Center.
Malikk Austin appeared before Council relative to State of the City.
Jim DeLong appeared before Council relative to United We Stand.
Bishop Kirkland completed a speaker card relative to community and was
recognized by Mayor Parker but was not present in the Council Chamber.
Kara Smith completed a speaker card relative to South Seminary Addition sewer
and water lines and was recognized by Mayor Parker but was not present in the
Council Chamber.
Tabitha Williams completed a speaker card relative to curfew and was recognized
by Mayor Parker but was not present in the Council Chamber.

Rebekah Travis appeared before Council relative to boarding houses m Fort
Worth.
Pamela Young appeared before Council relative to the youth curfew ordinance.
Rodney McIntosh , representing Christ The Risen King Church , appeared before
Council via conference call relative to Rodney McIntosh.
Oscar Henriquez appeared before Counc il relative to the youth ordinance.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business , Mayor Parker adjourned the meeting at 7 :07 p .m., in
honor of Richard Philip Oestricher, who passed away Sunday , January 15 , 2023 , and Joe
Guzman , who passed away Monday , January 16 , 2023.
