I WITH REFERENCE TO A WATER SUPPLY; AUTHORIZING AND DL9ECTING THE EXECUTION OF SUCH CONTRACT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHERE M1, on October 30, 1959, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth adopted a resolution calling an election in said City on December 2, 1959, to submit to the voters the following proposition: PROPOSITION ''Shall the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, be authorized to enter into a contract with Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement District No. I for the purpose of supplying, water to said City, as authorized by Chapter 342, Acts of the Fifty-first Legislature, and other applicable laws?", and, 7L,77,10, said election was duly held on the day fixed therefor, and thereafter the City Council canvassed the returns of said election and found and declared that said election resulted favorably to the making of said con- tract; ond, 1;XLREAS, the qualified voters of Tarrant County Water Control and Im- provcment District 11,11o. 1, by an election held on December 2, 1959, have duly approved the issuance of bonds for the purposes of said contract; and, all things required to be done and required to have happened in order to snake said contract effective have been done and have happened; NOW, pis' IT Ci,"DAIVEL 3Y TIE CITY COUNCIL OF, 1HE Cf'Y CY FORT WORTH, TEXAS: 32CTION 1. D. 1960, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, convened in regular meeting with the following members present, to wit: T. A. McCann, Mayor, J. 0. (Oliver) Shannon, J. F. Tarlton, John Justin, Jr., T. D. "Tommy" Thompson, Councilmen, Gene L. Cagle, Mrs. Reecy McKnight, Ralph L. McCann, C. B. Williams, L. P. Cookingham, City Manager, Roy A. Bateman, City Secretary, S. G. Johndroe, Jr., City Attorney, constituting all of the members of said Council, at which time, the follow- ing, among other business, was transacted, to wit: Mayor McCann introduced an ordinance. Councilman Cagle made a motion that the ordinance be adopted. The motion was seconded by Councilman Thompson. The ordinance was read by the City Secretary, The motion, carrying with it the adoption of the ordinance, prevailed by the following vote: AYES: Mayor McCann, Councilmen Shannon, Tarlton, Justin, Thompson, Cagle, McCann and Williams, and Councilwoman McKnight.
