AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN
THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $33,088.66 AND THE
SEWER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,615.97 FROM AVAILABLE
FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH
HDR ENGINEERING, INC. FOR PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION AND WATER AND
SANITARY SEWER MAIN RI=PLACEMENT 2004 CIP, CONTRACT 51, PROJECT 00453;
PROVIbWG FOR A SEVERABII.ITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments far Fiscal Year 20052006 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shad also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $33,088.66 and the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the
amount of $4,615.97 from available funds for the purpose of funding an engineering agreement with HDR
Engineering, Inc. for Pavement Reconstruction and Water and Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement, 2004
C1P, Contract 51, Project 00453.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative ar vaid
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisians shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance Nn. 16582 and all other ordinances and appropriations
amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict
with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisians of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance sh~li take effect upon adoption.

RECOMMEN®ATI®N:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the transfer of $37,704.63 from the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to the Water Capital
Projects Fund in the amaunt of $33,088.86 and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $4,615.97;
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Water Capital Projects Fund in the amaunt of $33,088.66 and the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the
amaunt of $4,615.97, from available funds; and
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with HDR Engineering Enc., in the
amount of $133,333.00 for pavement reconstruction and water and sanitary sewer main replacement on
Hudson Street, Saufh Perkins Street, HazeEine Raad and Collard Street.

The 2004 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes funds far pavement reconstruction nn Hudson
Street (Scott Avenue to Bomar Avenue}, South Perkins Street {Panola Avenue to Hawlet Avenue), Hazeline
Road (Rampart Street to South Ayers Avenue) and Collard Street (Puringtan Avenue to East Lancaster
Avenue).
This project consists of the preparation of plans and specifications for the replacement of water and sanitary
sewer mains and pavement reconstruction ort the above identifed streets.
HDR Engineering, Inc., proposes to perform the necessary design work for a lump sum fee of $133,333.00.
City staff considers this fee to be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed.
En addition to the contract amount $28,367.91 {water: $6,819.46; sewer: $2,933.15; and streets: $16,615.30}
is required far project management by the Engineering Department.
HDR Engineering, Inc., is in compliance with the City's M/WBE Ordinance by committing to 18 percent
MIWBE participation. The City's goal on the project is 18 percent.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8, Mapscn 78A,F,G and M.
