HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 58918Tt% Career Development Center CSC No. 58918 DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS MAVS EDGE PROGRAM PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT THE UTA CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER AND City of Fort Worth Water Utility This internship partnership agreement between The University of Texas at Arlington, on behalf of its Career Development Center (University) and The City of Fort Worth Water Utility (partnering Organization) indicates a voluntary agreement to participate in the Mays EDGE Internship Program, an experiential learning program provided by The University of Texas at Arlington, Career Development Center. I. Overall Project Goals, Services and Outcomes: The Mays EDGE Program is an internship program through which the Career Development Center partners receive specialized program services in return for student consideration and the sharing of placement information for The University of Texas at Arlington's students and alumni. II. Term and Termination: This agreement will be in effect for an initial period of one year and will continue from year to year unless one party gives the other thirty (30) days' notice of intent to terminate. If such notice is given, this agreement will terminate at the end of such thirty (30) days. III. University Obligations: The Career Development Center will provide the following services in specific support of this project: a) Registration fee discounts for select internship programming events. b) Elevated marketing and position promotion opportunities through UTA marketing outlets. c) Connection with UTA internship Coordinators departmental contacts. d) Access to tailored internship materials/resources/workshops. e) internship Position Description Development — assist with creation and/or review of position responsibilities and learning objectives related to the internship position. f) Communication and guidance regarding the status of Handshake applicant pools. g) Participation in workforce skills curriculum development through membership in a corporate forum. IV. Partnering Organization Obligations/Acknowledgments: The partnering organization will provide the following services in specific support of this project: a) Recruit, interview, and provide placement consideration for one or more UTA student(s) in an internship experience(s) during the Spring, Summer, or Fall academic calendar. b) Participate in campus brand building and student engagement opportunities. c) Conduct candidate interviews and make final selections for internship offers. d) Report student hiring or placement information to the UTA Career Development Center. e) Participate in program promotion and branding by developing a student "spotlight" to be shared via UTA marketing - includes the sharing of your company logo. f) Partici )ation in the program does not guarantee student placement. V. Governing Law. This agreement and the interpretation of its terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. See Addendum for signature page.
