CITY OF FOR WORTHr-4,r. CU klit/A
TEXAS
OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER Communication to Mayor and Council No. PWI 67
February 24, 1961
Honorable Mayor and
Members of the City Council Re: Seminary Drive Paving
City of Fort Worth Hemphill to N-S Freeway
Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen:
On December 23, 1959, Contract No. 4202 for the construction of the above
referenced project on an assessment basis was awarded to Worth Construction
Company on their low bid of $162,836.81 . The contractor has completed the
construction in accordance with the plans and specifications at a final
contract cost of $168,559.36 with the property owners' portion being
$45,677.77 and the City's portion being $122,881 .59. Variation in final
contract quantities account for the 3.5 per cent increase in tie contract
cost.
It is recommended that an ordinance accepting the improvement be adopted
and Estimate No. 9 and Final in the amount of $ 12,288. 16 be approved for
payment. Sufficient funds are available in Account No. 84 83 23, Seminary
Drive Paving from Hemphill Street to N-S Freeway.
Respectfully submitted,
L. P. Cook h
