Kayser, Secretary to the Board I. Call to Order With a quorum of the board members present, President Price called the Special Called meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board (CCPD) of Directors to order at 10:02 a.m., on Friday, July 24, 2020 in the Council Chambers of the Fort Worth Municipal Building, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. IL Action Items A. Certification of Official Returns — Mary J. Kayser CCPD Board Secretary CCPD Board Secretary Mary J. Kayser advised President Price and CCPD Board members that they had received the certifications of the tabulations of the official election returns from Tarrant, Denton, and Parker Counties for continuation of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention District for ten years and the continuation of the District's one-half cent sales tax for ten years with the certified cumulative returns for such election reported as follows: Crime Control and Prevention District For: 36,045 Against: 19,930 CCPD Board Secretary Kayser stated that the proposition received a favorable majority vote and had passed. CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS CRIM� CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS July 24, 2020 Page 2 of 2 Motion was made by Director Jordan and second by Director Shingleton to accept the certification of the official returns and to direct that they be filed of record in the City's election register. The motion carried 9-0. B. Consideration and Adoption of Resolution Canvassing Votes and Making Findings Concerning the Results of the Election Held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, on the Continuation of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention District for Ten (10) Years and Continuation of the District's One-Half Cent Sales Tax for Ten (10) Years — Mary J. Kayser, CCPD Board Secretary Motion was made by Director Jordan and seconded by Director Shingleton to approve Resolution CCPD-2020-03 canvassing votes and making findings concerning the results of the election held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, on the continuation of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention District for a term of (10) years and continuation of the District's one-half cent sales tax for ten (10) years. The motion carried 9-0. III.Adjourn With no further presentations or discussions, President Price adjourned the Special Called meeting of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention Board of Directors at 10:04, on Friday, July 24, 2020.
