I. Call to Order
With a quorum of the board members present, President Price called the meeting of the Crime
Control and Prevention District Board (CCPD) of Directors to order at 2:04 p.m., on Tuesday,
May 14, 2019, in the City Council Conference Room 290, Fort Worth City Hall,
200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
II. Approval of Minutes from Meetin� February 12, 2019
Motion was made by Director Jordan and seconded by Director Byrd to approve the minutes of
the February 12, 2019, regular meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of
Directors. The motion passed 9-0.

IV. Staff Presentations
a. Overview of Enhanced Criminal Tracking Unit Pilot Program and Possible
Change in Scope of Special Response Team Program
Deputy Police Chief Michael Shedd gave a presentation on the change in scope for the Special
Response Teams to include responding to emerging crime trends and additional response to high-
rislc incidents.
There was no action on this item.
V. Action Items
A. Consideration of an FY 2019 Budget Amendment to Increase the Recruitment
and Training and Equipment, Technology, and Infrastructure Initiatives by a
Total of $2,157,325.00 for a Police Recruit Class and Reduce the Previously
Budgeted Contribution to Fund Balance
a. Staff Report
Linda Stewart and Christianne Kellett provided the staff report on the proposed FY 2019 Budget
adjustment to increase the Recruitment and Training and Equipment, Technology and
Infrastructure initiatives by $2,157,325.00 for a recruit ciass and to reduce the budgeted
contribution to fund balance.
b. Public Hearing
President Price opened the Public Hearing. There was no one to be heard on this item.
c. Action
Motion was made by Jungus Jordan and Brian Byrd to close the Public Hearing and to approve
funding for the FY 2019 budget adjustm.en� to increase the Recruitment and Training and
Equipment, Technology and Infi•astructure initiatives by $2,157,325.00 for a xecruit class and to
reduce the budgeted contribution to fund balanGe

President Price adjourned the meeting of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention Board of
Directors at 2:33 p.m., on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
The Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention Board of Directors convened into Executive
Session at 2:35 PM.
VIII. Executive Session
The Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors may conduct a closed
meeting to seelc the advice of its attorneys about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement
offers, or any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the Board under the Texas Department of
Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the
Texas Open Meetings Act, as authorized by Section SS 1.071 of the Texas Government Code:
a. Legal issues regarding contract and policy comp�iance by District-funded entities
President Price adjourned the Executive Session at 2:�8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
IX. Adjourn
With no fui�ther presentations or discussions, President Price adjourned the meeting of the Fort
Worth Crime Control and Prevention Board of Directors at 2:49 p.m., on Tuesday,
May 14, 2019.
