THE MOST SOUTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF WEST TERRELL
AVENUE SOUTH TO THE MOST NORTHERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE
OF WEST HUMBOLT STREET AND A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN
BLOCK 2/1, MULKEY'S SUBDIVISION OF THE FIELDS-WELCH

SECTION 3 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage .

VIndervoort's Dairies , owner of all adjoining property, has requested abandon-
ment of a portion of the alley in Block 2/1 Nblkeyws Subdivision of MAO-
Wilch Addition, and Oak Grove Street, between West Terrell Avenue and Humbol't
Street, shown in red on the attached map. This request was made to enable
expansion of the existing plant and to consolidate the present production and
distribution operations.
Private utility companies, Public Works, Mer, Traffic Engineering and
Planning Departments reviewed the request and do not object to the abandonment.
The Public Works Department requested that additional right-of-may be obtained
for Terrell Avenue and Galveston Avenue in—consideration of the closing. The
additional right-of-vay has been deeded to the City. Vandervoort's Dairies
has agreed to pay the City for the cost of relocating the traffic engineering
utility line now located in—Oak Grove Street, and the adjacent alley proposed
for abandonment, estimated to cost $200. The Texas Electric Service Company
and Water Department request that easements be retained to operate and main-
tain existing facilities in their present location until such time as they
are no longer nAeded.
7be City Plan Commission has reviewed the request of Vandervoory's Dairies
and recommends adoption of the ordinance that has been prepared abandoning
the street and a portion of the alley, reserving the easmients as requested
by the Texas Electric Service Company and the Water Department.
