FORT WORTH LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
RESOLUTION
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Authorizing the Funding of Camp Bo►vie District, Inc.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees (`Board") of the Fort Worth Local Development
Corporation ("Corporation") is interested in financially assisting Camp Bowie District, Inc.
("CBDI") in its design review responsibilities;
WHEREAS, CBDI has been asked to assist the City with the oversight of developments
that fall within the City's form -based code areas ("CBDI Work");
WHEREAS, CBDI has created two additional design review committees that will evaluate
each case that fails in their code zones which has resulted in additional administrative
responsibility on CBDI's staff of one currently;
WHEREAS, City staff has recommended that form -based code be amended and adjusted
to be adopted by the Urban Design Committee and City Council which is projected to take
approximately 12 — 18 months with much time from CBDI to see this work to completion;
WHEREAS, CBDI will work with City Council to identify appropriate members from the
Camp Bowie West business community to serve on the Design Review Committee for this
designated zone in the form -based code; and
WHEREAS, CBDI has requested that the Corporation consider a two-year financial
commitment to assist CBDI which will allow it to hire additional staff and oversee the
administration of CBDI Work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT:
1. The Board hereby authorizes execution of all necessary agreements with CBDI to
financially assist CBDI in its management of the two newly formed design review committees to
aid in CBDI Work in the following amounts:
a. Fiscal Year 2023: $35,000.00; and
b. Fiscal Year 2024: $25,000.00.
2. The Board hereby finds that expenditure of the above funds to CBDI falls within
the purpose of encouraging, fostering and promoting the renovation, construction, rehabilitation
and establishment of economic development facilities and related infrastructure activities within
the geographic jurisdiction of the City
