HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6234 ORDINANCE N0. 2, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3011 , BEING AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND TO RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCES, OR OTHER PURPOSES; THE HEIGHT, NUMBER OF STORIES AND SIZE OF BUILDING; AND OTHER STRUCTURES : THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES; OFF-STREET PARKING AND LOADING AND THE DENSITY OF POPULATION; AND FOR SAID PURPOSES TO DIVIDE THE MUNICIPALITY INTO DISTRICTS OF SUCH NUMBER, SHAPE AND AREA AS MAY BE DEEMED BEST BY FIXING DEFINITE USES OF THE BUILDINGS HEREINAFTER ERECTED 'IN SAID DESCRIBED AREAS FROM THE USES AS SHOWN ON THE MAPS CONTAINED IN SAID ORDINANCE NO. 3011 ; PRE- SCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $5.00 NOR MORE THAN $200.00 FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND THAT EACH DAY THAT A VIOLATION IS PERMITTED TO EXIST SHALL CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE OFFENSE; AND NAMING All EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : SECTION 1 . That Ordinance No. 3011 be amended so that the following described uses in the hereinafter described area be altered, changed and amended as follows to wit: Z-69-217 It is shown as portion Tract 14-A of the J. E. Brandon Survey (City Tax Records) BEGINNING at a point in the South line of Tract 14-A, J. E. Brandon Survey, con- veyed to Mrs . M. E. Connelly by deed filed DRTCT Book 1059, Page 153, said point being the intersection of the Northerly extension of the most Easterly boundary of Cravens road in the 2500 block thereof, with the South line of said Tract 14-A; THENCE East 100 feet to a point, in the South line of said Tract 14-A; THENCE North 51 feet to the South line of Meadowbrook Drive, which is the north line of said Tract 14-A; THENCE West with the North line of said Tract 14-A to a corner, the Northwest corner of Tract 14-A; THENCE South 51 feet along the West line of said Tract 14-A to a corner; THENCE East with the South line of Tract 14-A to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. They have been designed to |eSSeD congestion in the Streets ; to S8CUr2 safety from fire, panic, flood and other dangers ; t0 provide adequate light and air; t0 prevent overcrowding Of land; to avoid undue concentration Of population; t0 facilitate the adequate provisions Of transportation , water, sewerage, parks and other public r8qWire- 0eDts, They have been made after d full and complete public hearing with r8aSO0db]8 considera- tion among other things , of the character Of the district and its peculiar suitability for the particular uses and with a view Of conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most appropriate use of land throughout the community. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be CUmUldtiV8 Of all Other 0rdiDOOCeS Of the City of Fort Worth affecting zoning and shall not repeal any of the prDYiSi0O5 Of said ordinances 8XC8pt in those instances where provisions Of 1h038 ordinances are in direct conflict with the pr0ViSi0OS Of this ordinance, SECTION 4- Should, any section, clause or provision of this ordinance be declared by the court to be in- valid, the Sd0e shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as d whole or any part thereof, Other than the part so declared to be invalid. SECTION 5, Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys , omits , neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any Of the prOViSi00S of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five and NO/100 Dollars /$5.00\ nor more than Two Hundred and N0/100 Dollars /$200.00\ for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
