Relating to plan revision 08 and RFI 020, existing conditions were uncovered that required extensive soil retention to mitigate. In lieu of additional costs to retain soil, at the City of Fort Worth's request a plan revision was created to allow soil retention to be avoided. The process of finding an alternate solution to this issue caused an extended delay,but did avoid additional construction costs. Additionally, per RFI 026 and Plan Revision 09 an error in the drawings created a conflict between the addition roof and the existing roof creating a five day construction duration to procure and install additional steel members. The cumulative delay caused by these issues has extended the substantial completion date of the new addition to 3/30/23. Additionally, electrical switchgear has an extended lead time and must be installed after the substantial completion of the other components of the renovation. The switchgear will arrive in June, but due to scheduled activities in the operational community center it has been requested that M&F not install new switchgear until August. This has been tentatively scheduled for 8/7/23-8/21/23. Install dates will be confirmed by community center staff closer to this date. Substantial completion date of the electrical equipment currently schedule for 8/21/23.
