HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 58267-A1CSC No. 58267-Al AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CITY OF FORT WORTH CONTRACT CSC. 58267 This Amendment is entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth ("City"), a home -rule municipality, with its principal place of business at 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas, and Alliance for Children, Inc. ("Contractor"). City and Contractor may be referred to individually as "Party" and collectively as "Parties." WHEREAS, on October 18, 2022, the Parties entered into City Secretary Contract CSC. 58267 to operate the Alliance for Children to support crime intervention in the community("Agreement"); WHEREAS, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement, updating the Program Funds section and multiple exhibits. NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement: 1. AMENDMENTS AGREEMENT DOCUMENTS Amended Exhibits A, B, C, D, and E attached hereto, are hereby incorporated into the Agreement as if attached and incorporated into the same upon its execution. The following section of the Agreement is to read as follows: 2. Program Funds 2.1 In no event shall the total distribution from City made to the Contractor during the term of this agreement exceed the amended total sum of $118,910.00 ("Program Funds") 2. ALL OTHER TERMS SHALL REMAIN THE SAME All other provisions of the Agreement which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect. 3. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE This Amendment may be executed in multiple counterparts, each of which shall be an original and all of which shall constitute one and the same instrument. Activity Summary Activity Goals & Tools People Involved/Responsible Timeline Alliance For Children continues to offer investigative and healing services to children and families victimized by child abuse. We also aim to prevent the number of children needing our services by providing prevention education to children and families in our community. Alliance For Children is actively involved in providing personal body safety and internet safety education to students in several schools located in at -risk zip codes of 76103, 76104, 76105, 76106, 76112, 76133 and 76119. While we also provide prevention education to adults in these communities, our aim is to increase our reach and provide educational resources to families we might not have an organic way of engaging. To engage with additional families, we would like to utilize funds for a marketing campaign to reach 50,000 Marketing Distributed According to analysis from a distribution company there are 75,520 households that qualify for door-to- door marketing distribution. Our goal is to target 50,000 households with prevention education materials. This will ensure that 50,000 receive important information with resources and have tools to prevent abuse and violence or to seek intervention. The approximate cost of this goal will be $0.18 per household, totaling $9,000. Materials 2500 Individuals Respond to Household Flyers[50,000 x 5%] In addition to providing basic safety and resources through door-to-door marketing, we hope to elevate the level of resource by providing a link for more in-depth information than what is shown on the print material as well as invitation for in -person and virtual Alliance For Children will seek assistance from a distribution company to distribute marketing materials. Marketing Materials will be created by Marketing Coordinator and printed by printing company. Prevention Education expertise will be provided by our Community Outreach team. Contract Term: October 1, 2022 — September 30, 2023 Our goal is to implement this campaign in April 2023 to August 2023. CSC 58267- Al Crime Control and Prevention District Partners with a Shared Mission EXHIBIT B - BUDGET NARRATIVE FY23 - Alliance for Children DESCRIPTION/JUSTIFICATION Forensic Interviewer - This expense will cover one full-time Forensic Interviewer (At a rate of $25.76/hour.) The forensic interview will gather pertinent information from children in a neutral, non -leading, and legally defensible manner. The forensic interviewer does not make case decisions, but may make referrals for additional services or resources for families. This position is 100% allocated in time/effort for CCPD tasks. B. FRINGE Forensic Interviewer Fringe- FICA, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Disability, Unemployment, and Retirement. Phone Stipend C. TRAVEL Crimes Against Children's Conference / Global Leadership Summit The line item is to cover the registration and any related travel costs associated with the associated Forensic Interviewer. Registration for CRIMES this year was $650 per person and the Global Leadership Training ranges around $200 each. This is not an all inclusive list. The objectives of the trainings are to provide practical and interactive instruction from field experts to those fighting crimes against children and providing healing services. D.
