Neighborhood Action, Inc. with consent of all adjoining property owners has
requested that the City vacate the following public rights-of-way as shown
on the attached map:
1. McKinley Avenue from Long Avenue to the west line of Block 14,
Worth Hills Addition;
2. 36th Street from Kearney Street to McKinley Avenue;
3. Kearney Street from 35th Street to Buck Sansout Park.
The subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are not paved. If this
request is granted, the Applicant proposes to construct a 100 unit multi-
family development on land adjoining the subject rights-of-way. A feasi-
bility letter dated October 22, 1970,, from the Federal Housing Administration
to Neighborhood Action, Inc, indicates their approval and funding for said
project in th6'amount of $1,521,4,00.
City departments and private utility Companies have reviewed the right-of-way
vacation requests and have no objections, provided the Applicant replats.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recoownds adoption
of an ordinance vacating the public rights-of-way as requested. A satis-
factory replat has been submitted.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject rights-
of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
