AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE NORTH FIFTY
FEET OF HART STREET AND ALL OF HALBERT STREET
FROM SPUR 303 NORTH TO THE T. & P. RAILWAD
PROPERTY RIGHT--OF--WAY BE VACATED, ABANDONED
AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING AI,L ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAZiED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following rights--of-way in Handley Addition
to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the
same are hereby dosed, abandoned and permanently vacated as
streets or public thoroughfares of any kind or .character what--
ever:
The north 50 feet of Hart Street from
Handley Drive east to Lumber Street, a distance
of 532 feet, and being adjacent to Blockp 6 and
7 of said addition;
Halbert Street a width of 70 feet and a
R length of approximately 110 feet from the T. & P.
Railroad property south to Dart Street; and
Halbert Street a width of 70 feet and a
length of approximately 40 feet, from Hari Street
south to Spar 303.
SECTION 2 .
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said streetsis hereby ,released and shall revert
to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.

SECTION 4 0
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage,
APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY.

Leslie Miller, Inc. , owner of all abutting property, has requested that ,the
City vacate the following rights-of-way:
I. The north 50 ft. of ,Hart Street from and ,.a Drive east to Lunber
Street, a distance of 532 ft. adjacent to Blocks 6 & 7, Original
Town of Handley;
2.
is Street a width of 70 ft. and a ,lean gth of approximately .'110 ft.
4 from the T & P Railraod property south to Hart Street;
3, Halbert Street a width of 70 ft. and a length of approximately 40 ft.
from Hart Street south to Spur 303.
Subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are paved .and ,are shown on
attached map. This request is made in order to provide room for parking and
area for building expansion,,
hare are existing ,water and electrical facilities located within the subject
rights-of-way and easements have been provided to accamodate these facilities.
City departments and private utility campanies have reviewed this request and
have no objectioas to approval as requested,,,
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recounuends, that an
ordinance be adopted vacating the north 501t. of Hart Street and all of
Halbert Street from,, Spur 303 north to the T & P Railroad property right-
of-way.
jecammendation
It is recommended that an Ordinanne be adopted vacating sibject rights-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
