Report of the City Manager -David Cooke, City Manager a. Upcoming and Recent Events City Manager Cooke called on Council Member Crain to introduce Mitch Whitten, Visit Fort Worth to present the new advertising campaign "Fort Worth, the Unexpected City" t-shirts to Council. City Manager Cooke called on Dianna Giordano to announce the Citywide Job Fair being held on Saturday, April 15 , 2023. Informal Reports 23 -0570 Emergency Alert System Available for Fort Worth Residents -Robert Medford 23 -0580 Update on MedStar EMS Reprioritization Efforts, Phase One -Ken Simpson, Medstar and Valerie Washington Mayor Pro tern Bivens requested staff provide a summary of the Informal Report. Mayor Parker requested that staff meet individually with Council on the new system and add this item to a future agenda to allow Council time to fully discuss the re -prioritization system. Council Member Beck requested an informal report on the relationship between the Fire Department dispatch process and the MedStar new prioritization process. 23 -0590 Fair Housing Exhibition -Christina Brooks Mayor Pro tern Bivens requested staff provide a summary of the report . 23 -0600 Fort Worth Public Library Fill the Bag Eve nt Summary -Manya Shorr 23-0610 January 2023 -Sales Tax Update -Richard Zavala 23 -0620 Management Diversity Review -Dianna Giordano Council Member Beck requested a follow-up on the Management Diversity Review to provide an analysis of pay across the various bands within the City . Questions Regarding Significant Zoning Cases for April 11, 2023, Council Meeting There were no questions regarding zoning cases for April 11 , 2023 , Council meeting. 3. Questions Regarding City Council M&C Log for April 11, 2023, Council Meeting There were no questions regarding the City Council M&C Log for April 11 , 2023 , Council meeting. 4. Visit Fort Worth Contract Renewal-Mike Crum, Public Events and Bob Jameson, Visit Fort Worth Presentation was given by Mike Crum, Public Events Director and Bob Jameson from Visit Fort Worth. Mayor Pro tern Bivens encouraged staff to look for additional ways to mcrease organizations of color coming to Fort Worth. Will Rogers Memorial Center Sheep and Swine Barn Design Agreement - Mike Crum, Public Events Presentation was given by Mike Crum, Public Events Director. 6. Briefing on the Boards and Commission Transition Recommendations following the May 2023 Election -Denis McElroy, Law and Jannette Goodall, City Secretary Presentation was given by Denis McElroy, Senior Assistant Attorney. 7. Provide an Update on Litter Abatement Activity and Street Sweeping -Cody Whittenburg, Code Compliance and Lauren Prieur, Transportation and Public Works Presentation was given by Brandon Bennett, Code Compliance Director and Lauren Prieur, Transportation and Public Works Director. 8. Municipal Election 2023 Outreach Update -Michelle Gutt, Communications and Public Engagement and Reyne Telles, City Manager's Office Presentation was given by Reyne Telles , Chief Communications Officer, and Michelle Gutt, Communications and Public Engagement. 9. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Mayor Pro tern Bivens requested a report on roadway signage regarding panhandling. Council Member Williams requested a progress report from Police and Transportation and Public Works on efforts to reduce high speed traffic, reckless driving , street racing and other safety concerns along major arterials and along high injury networks. Council Member Williams requested an Informal Report on the feasibility of creating a listserv for residents to receive zoning notifications within a district. Council Member Beck requested a report on how violations are prioritized and responded to by the Code Department.
