ORDINANCE CLOSING HEARING AND LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR PART OF THE COST OF IMPROVING A PORTION OF--.— MADDOX AVENUE E I--.- AND PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHER STREETS, AVENUES AND PUITL—ICP ACES IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: FIXING CHARGES AND LIENS AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTY THEREON, AND AGAINST THE OWNERS THEREOF: PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF SUCH ASSESSMENTS AND THE ISSUANCE OF ASSIGNABLE CERTIFI- CATES IN EVIDENCE THEREOF: RESERVING UNTO THE CITY COUNCIL THE RIGHT TO ALLOW CREDITS REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF THE RESPECTIVE ASSESSMENT TO THE, EXTENT OF ANY, CREDIT GRANTED: DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO EN- GROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH, AND BY FILING THE ORDINANCE IN THE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITY: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has heretofore ordered that each of the hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and public places in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, be improved by raising, grading, or filling same and by constructing thereon to-wit: I1P41T 1: MAD DOX AVENUE From I.H. 35 to Evans Avenue, known wi°wd design - ated as Unit 1, Project No. 061-21304-4553, Phase 11, a two-inch thick hot-mix asphaltic concrete surface course on a six-inch thick cement stabilized gravel base and by reconstruct- ing existing ctn-b and gutter with seven-inch high concrete curb and eighteen-inch wide concrete gutter, four-foot wide concrete sidewalk and six- inch thick concrete driveways where specified on a thirty foot roadway. UNIT 2: MADDOX AVENUE From Evans Avenue to a Line 84' east of the west property line of Lot 15, Block 14, Evans South Addition, knowi,i and designated as Unit 2, Project No. 061-21304-4553, Phase IT, a two inch thick Riot-mix asphalt,;.c concrete surface course on a six-inch thi,ck cement stabilized gravel base and by reconstructing existing curb and gutter with seven-inch high concrete curb and eighteen-inch wide concrete gutter, four-foot wide concrete sidewalk and six-inch thick concrete driveways where specified on a tliirty foot roadway. UNIT 3: WiDDOX AVENUE From a line 25' west of the east property line of Lot 15, Block 14, Evans South Addition to a line 50' east of Kurolf.l. Aver,'itte, known and design- ated as Ut�)it 3, Project No. 061-21304-4553, Phase 11, a two-inch thick hot-mix asphaltic concrete surface course on a six-inch thick cement stabiliz- ed gravel base and by reconstructing existing curb and gutter with seven-inch high concrete curb and eighteen-inch wide concrete gutter, four-foot wide concrete sidewalk and six-inch thick concrete drive- way's where specified on a thirty foot roadway. All units will be complete with v ns i ndh high concrete canon d two-foot n ice concrete gutter, four-foot wide concrete id alk and six- inch thick concrete driveways were specified. It is the opinion of the Public Works Department that each parcel of abutting property is bcnn nfittn.nd in nn amiount, equal to or in excess of the ou t recom- mended for assessment. RecommendIllon It is recommended that an ordinance Inc adopted closing the Benefit Hearing and levying the assessments as proposed.
