P00132) BY THE SAME AMOUNT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be adjusted estimated receipts and appropriations in the PARD Gas Lease Capital Project Fund in an amount tota ling $159 ,157 .00, by increasi ng estimated receipts and appropriations 1) for the Thomas Place Community Center project (City Project No. I 01631) in the amount of $59,157.00, 2) for the E dgewood Park project (City Project No. 102325) in the amount of $100,000.00, and 3) by decreasin g the PARD New Enhancements programmable project (City Project No. P00l 32) by the same amount. SECTION 2. That should any portion , section or part of a section of this ordinance be dec lared invalid , inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction , s uch decision , opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance 25773-09-2022 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of thi s ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption. D ISC USS ION: The purpose of this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) is to authorize execution of a contract with Cole Construction , Inc., in the amount of $1 ,003 ,319 .71 for the improvements at Thomas Place Park (City Project No . 101631 ), Edgewood Park (City Project No . 102325), Parkwood East Park (City Project No . 102963), and Trail Lake Estates Park (City Project No. 102964). The project was posted on the city purchasing website on January 19 , 2023, and advertised in the Fo rt Wo rth Star-Telegram on January 19 , 2023 & January 26 , 2023 . Improvements at Parkwood East Park (City Project No. 102963) include : playground equipment, shelter, sidewalks , benches , p icnic tables , trash receptacles , sodding , trees , and grading . Improvements at Trail Lake Estates Park (City Project No . 102964) include : a parking lot, playground equipment , sidewalks , benches , trash receptacles , sodding , trees , and grading . Construction of this project is ant icipated to begin in May 2023 and estimated to be completed in September 2023 . Funding is budgeted in the Park & Recreation Department's 2018 Bond Program Fund and PARO Dedication Fees Fund for the purpose of funding the improvements at four parks , as appropriated . Approval of Recommendation Nos . 2 and 3 wi ll adjust appropriations between a programmable park project and static park projects.
