AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR THE
EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT
'KURTHP TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CON-
SISTING OF 60.525 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT
TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT THE TERRITORY ANNEXED
SHALL BEAR ITS PRO RATA PART OF TAXES: PROVIDING THAT THE
INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL HAVE ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF ALL
CITIZENS OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDI-
NANCE SHALL AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HERE-.
WITH: PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE
OF ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES NOT IN DIRECT CONFLICT, PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of Fort Worth,
Texas, wherein all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to
be heard on the proposed annexation of the territory hereinafter described,
was held at the City Council Chamber in the Municipal Office Building of
Fort Worth, Texas, on the 15th day of July, 1974, which date is not more than
twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the institution of
annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper
having general circulation in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and in the herein-
after described territory on the 3rd day of July, 1.974, which date is not more
than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such
public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the population of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, is in
excess of 390,000 inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, the corporate area of the City of Fort Worth., Texas, was
235.9 square miles on January 1, 1974, and
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described territory lies within the exclusive
extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Fort Worth, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described territory lies adjacent to and
adjoins the City of Fort Worth, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described contains 60,525 acres
of land;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:

SECTION 1.
THAT the following described land and territory, lying adjacent to
and adjoining the City of Fort Worth, Texas, is hereby added to and annexed
to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described
shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, and the boundary limits of said City, at the various points
contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are. altered and amended so as to
include said area with-in the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, to wit:
BEING a tract or parcel of land out of the N. B. Risk Survey,
Abstract No. 1882, the N. B. Risk Survey, Abstract No. 1913, the X.E.
Asberry Survey, Abstract No. 49, and the W. W. Wheat Survey, Abstract
No. 1646, situated about nine miles southwesterly from the Courthouse
of Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point for the South corner of Lot 9,
Block 510, Wedgwood Addition to the City of Fort Worth, ac-
cording to the plat recorded in Volume 388-45 at Page 98 of
the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texaa; which point for
corner is in the North right-of-way line of Altamesa Boule-
vard and is also in the present Fort Worth City Limit Line.
THENCE South 29 degrees, 50 minutes East, along and with
the present Fort Worth City Limit Line, 120 feet to a point
for corner in the South right-of-way line of Altamesa Boule-
vard.
THENCE South, 01 degree, 26 minutes, 47 seconds East 426.,9
feet to an iron pin for corner in a fence line.
THENCE South 89 degrees, 36 minutes, 17 seconds West,
along and with said fence line, at 1,988.5 feet an iron pin
for the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 500, Wedgwood Addi-
tion to the City of Fort Worth-, according to the plat recorded
in Volume 388-30 at Page 531 of the Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and in all 2,188.5 feet to a point for corne-r
in ttva- West right-of-way line of Cranbury Road (County Road
No, 1089).
THENCE North, along and with- the West right-of-way line
of Granbury Road (County Road No. 1089), a distance of 1,050
feet, more or less, to a point for corner.
THENCE Northeasterly, along and with the Northwesterly
right-of-way line of Cranbury Road (County Road No. 1089) a
distance of 600 feet, more or less, to a point for corner in
the present Fort Worth City Limit Line.

THENCE Southwesterly, along and with the present Fort
Worth- City Limit Line, crossing Cranbury Road, to a point
for corner,
THENCE Easterly, along and witIL the present Fort Worth
City Limit Line, and along and with. a curve to the left having
a radius of 1,675.35 feet, at 11.5 feet the Southwest corner
of Block 1, Dan Danciger Addition to the. City of Fort Worth,
according to the plat recorded in Volume 388-35 at Page 78
of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and in all
976.53 feet to the end of curve.
THENCE North 88 degrees, 28 minutes East, along and with.
the present Fort Worth City Limit Line and along and with- the
South line of said Danciger Addition 180.66 feet to an iron
pin for the Southeast corner of said Danciger Addition, same-
being the Southwest corner of a certain 0.592 acre tract.
THENCE North 55 degrees, 35 minutes East, along and with-
the present Fort Worth City Limit Line 150.7 feet to an iron
pin at the Southeast corner of said 0.592 acre tract, same
being the Northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 522 of said
Wedgwood Addition.
THENCE Southerly, along and with the present Fort Worth.
City Limit Line and along and with. the. West line of said
Blocks 522 and 510;
South 26 degrees, 47 minutes East 470.1 feet, and
South 35 degrees, 09 minutes East 234.8 feet, and
South 40 degrees, 57 minutes East 284 feet to the
Place of Beginning and containing 60.525 acres of which 1.860
acres is in Cranbury Road.
SECTION 2.
THAT the foregoing-described territory and the area annexed shall be
a part of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and the property so added hereby shall
bear its pro rata share of the taxes levied by the City of Fort Worth., Texas,
and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all rights and privileges
of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions
and regulations of the City of Fort Worth, Texas.
SECTION 3.
THAT this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance
in conflict herewith-, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances
not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby made
cumulative,
SECTION 4.
THAT if any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word
of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional, by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of
the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases, or words

except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable- to the remaining
portions of the ordinance.
SECTION 5.
THAT this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage on first reading and publication and its passage- on
second reading as provided for in Section 40 of Chapter -XXVI.II of the. Charter
of the City of Fort Worth- and it is so ordained.

April 22, 1974, the City Council received the petitian of Trailwood
Land Company for annexation of approximately 60 access of land in the
ad wwsw w d area and referred it to the Plan Commission for a recommendation,
Staff study for the Plan Conmiission review indicated as follows:
:
1) The area is :ithi:n this exclusive extraterritorial urisdi tion
of Fort Worth and not subject to annexation by any other city;
) The area is adjacent and contiguous to the present Fort Worth
city ,limits;
) The Petition was )wcmiemed by the Department of Law and approved

for further processing;
) City services can be furnished under standard developers policies
without out undue difficult,
S) A preliminary subdivision lat for the area has been approved
by the Plan Commission; and,

The 'Reviews Committee in reviewing this case recommended that
the adjacent right-of-way on Granbury Road be added to the area considered
for annexation.
