AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF BRENT-
WOOD STAIR ROAD OUT OF THE D. M. HELMS SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 812, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND
CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE IN-
TEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described portion of Brentwood
Stair Road be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and
permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any
kind or character whatever:
Being part of the D. M. Helms Survey, Ab-
straOt No. 812, situated in the easterly portion
of Fort Worth, in Tarrant County, Texas, and
adjoining the tract described in the deed to the
Mary Theresa Lott Trust recorded in Vol, 5059,
page 255, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County,
and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a 3/411 iron for the northwest
corner of said Trust tract and the northeast
corner of the tract described in the deed to
Edward G. Stebbins, recorded in Vol. 5283, page
573, of said Deed Records;
Thence north no degrees 02 minutes east
17-8/10 feet to a 3/41' iron 10 feet southerly
from and at right angle to the face of the south
Curb of Brentwood Stair Road;
Thence easterly along a curve to the right
with a radius of 2034 feet, being 10 feet southerly
of and generally parallel to said face of curb,
83-53/100 feet to a 3/4" iron; and the chord of
said 83-53/100 feet are is south 83 degrees 28
minutes east 83-53/100 feet;
Thence south no degrees 02 minutes west
30-45/100 feet to a 3/4" iron for the northeast
corner of Said Trust tract and the northwest
corner of the tract described in the deed to
J. G. Gearheart recorded in Vol. 3388, page 121,
of said Deed Records;
Thence north 75 degrees 03 minutes west,
along the north line of said Trust tract, 85-9/10
feet to the place of beginning, and containing
1978 square feet,
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort worth in the
fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall
revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage,

ft. to 30 ft, , as shown on the attached map.

contains no public facilities. Reviewing City departments and �rivate utility
companies have no objectiorts to this request provided as satisfactory replat
of the vacated right-of-away is provided City Staff. There is extra right-of- :1
way al,ang the south side of Brentwood Stair Road left over from the old county
road. When the new street was constructed the aligiament shifted north leaving
the extra right-of-way on the south side,
'The City Plan Comission has reviewed this request and recomends that an
ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of—way as requested. A satisfac-
t ry, replat b,as been submitted to City Staff.
RECOMUENDATION
It is recomended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-
way as recomended 'by the City Plan Ca mission.
