AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 7323, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 7392,
BY REDEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SINGLE
MEMBER DISTRICT THEREIN DESCRIBED, REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES AND PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES EFFECTING SINGLE
MEMBER DISTRICTS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 7323, adopted on April 5, 1976,
City Council Single Member Districts were created,
and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 7392, adopted on July 31, 1976,
the boundaries of City Council Single Member
Districts No. 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 were amended
and redefined, and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 7410, adopted on September 25, 1976,
additional territory was annexed to the City of Fort
Worth, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the annexed territory be added
to and included in the appropriate City Council Single
Member District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 7323, as amended by Ordinance
No. 7392, be and the same is hereby further amended, and after
being so amended shall hereafter read and be as follows:
THENCE Easterly with Eastland Avenue to Love Circle;
THENCE Northerly with Love Circle to City Of Fort Worth
Lake Worth Park property;
THENCE generally Westerly with City of Fort Worth Lake
Worth Park property, with its meanders to Jacksboro
Highway,
THENCE Northwesterly with Jacksboro Highway to the West
line of the J. Wilcox Survey, A-1319;
THENCE North, to and along and with the lines of the
Lake Worth Reservoir Site as annexed in 1916, in a
clockwise direction, to the South line of the Spencer
Townsend Survey, A-1554;
THENCE East to a line 1,000 feet West from the Spencer
Townsend Survey East line;
THENCE North to the Texas Electric Service company right-
of-way in the J. B. McGee Survey, A-1149;
THENCE East to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.

intersections) .
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend and/or
repeal all prior ordinances or provisions of ordinances, in
conflict herewith, but as to all other ordinances or provisions
of ordinances not in conflict herewith, this ordinance shall
be and is hereby made cumulative.
SECTION 3-
It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and
phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase,
clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall
be declared void, ineffective or unconstitutional by the valid
judgment or final decree of a court of competent jurisdiction,
such voidness, ineffectiveness or unconstitutionality shall not

For the purpose of determining the qualifications as to
candidacy, election or appointment of a member to Place No. 3
of the City Council of the City Of Fort Worth, District No. 3
shall be, and the same is hereby established, and shall comprise
all of that portion of the city located within the following
described boundary:
District No. 3
BEGINNING at the present Fort Worth City Limit line,
in the North line of the Texas Electric Service Company
right-of-way at its intersection with a West line of the
John Askew Survey, A-16;
THENCE South to the North line of the B.B.B. & C. R.R.
Company Survey, A-201;
THENCE East to said Survey's Northeast corner;
THENCE south and Southeasterly to an angle corner of
the T. & P. R.R. Company Survey, A-1473, in the North
line of the S. A. Hatcher Survey, A-1792;
THENCE South with the East line of said Hatcher Survey
to the North line of the J. Boman Survey;
THENCE East, South, East and South with the lines of
said Boman Survey to Azle Avenue;
THENCE Northwesterly with Azle Avenue to a point in the
common Fort Worth and Lake Worth Village boundary line;
THENCE along and with said common boundary line between
Lake Worth and Fort Worth to Roberts Cut-Off Road;
THENCE South and Southeasterly with Roberts Cut-off
Road to the North line of the J. O. Quinn Survey, A-1258;
THENCE Southwest to the West Fork of the Trinity River;
THENCE down the Trinity River to the North City Limit
Line of Westworth Village;
THENCE West, South, West, South, West, North and West with
said line to the White Settlement City Limit line;
affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, para-
graphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have
been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation here-
in of any such void, ineffective or unconstitutional phrase,
clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage and it is so ordained.

in a counterclockwise direction, with its meanders, to
its intersection with a South line of the Westworth Village
City Limit;
THENCE East, South, Southeast and East with the Westworth
Village Southerly City Limit line to the West Fork of the
Trinity River;
THENCE down the West Fork of the Trinity River to the East
line of the J. Kinder Survey;
THENCE South to the most Northerly Northeast corner of
Lot 28, Block c, chamberlain Arlington Heights Addition,
lst Filing and following the boundary line Northwesterly
and Westerly of said block to the intersection of Block 1
of Northcrest Addition;
THENCE Northerly around Block 1 to its intersection with
the Westover Hills City Limit line;
THENCE with the Westover Hills City Limit line, in a
counterclockwise direction, with its meanders, to a point
in the Northerly projection of Halloran Street;
THENCE South with Halloran Street to Camp Bowie Boulevard;
THENCE Southwest with Camp Bowie Boulevard to Guilford
Road;
THENCE Southerly with Guilford Road and Bryant-Irvin Road
to the Clear Fork of the Trinity River;
THENCE Easterly with the Clear Fork of the Trinity River
to the mouth of a no-riame creek that runs parallel to
Bellaire Drive;
THENCE Easterly up the no-name creek to its intersection
with Overton Park Drive;
THENCE southerly along Overton Park Drive to Ranchview Road;
THENCE Easterly with Ranchview Road to Bellaire Circle;
THENCE Southeasterly with Bellaire circle to Encanto Drive;
THENCE Southerly and Southeasterly along EncantO Drive to
Trail Lake Drive;
THENCE Southerly on Trail Lake Drive to the G. C. 8, S. F.
R.R. ;
THENCE Southwesterly with the G. C. & S. F. R.R. to the
East line of the J. B. McDermott Survey;

On September 25, 1976, t te City Council adopted Ordinance No,, 741.0 annexing
the Wastpoint area on second aad final reading.
'e Westpoint area is adjacent and contiguous �ity Couacil. Single Member
Vatiag District No. 3, and the Westpoint area needs to be added to that
district, Tbere are no residents living in this area at present.
,Aai amending ordinance bas been prepared which includes a new metes and,
bounds description for District No,, 3, embracing the Westpoint area.
Re,cawien4ation;
It is recoiraended that the ordinance be adopted adding the Westpoint area
to District No. 3.
