AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE UNNAMED STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY CROSSING TRACT
3-D OF THE F. S. PERRY SURVEY, ABSTRACT 1226,
AND TRACT 2 OF THE E. H. BURKE SURVEY, ABSTRACT
160, SOUTHWARD AND EASTWARD FROM WEST VICKERY
BOULEVARD TO SOUTHWEST BOULEVARD FRONTAGE ROAD
WITHIN THE LIMITS OF PROPOSED PHASE III, RIDGLEA
COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES, BLOCK 24; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE
IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the unnamed street right-of-way crossing Tract
3-D of the F. S. Perry Survey, Abstract 1226, and Tract 2
of the E. H. Burke Survey, Abstract 160, southward and
eastward from West Vickery Boulevard to Southwest Boulevard
Frontage Road within the limits of proposed Phase III,
Ridglea Country Club Estates, Block 24, be and the same is
hereby vacated, abandoned and closed as a street or public
thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described street
right-of-way is hereby released and will revert to the
adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that
easements are reserved therein for any and all existing
utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

The of Public ork , on behalf of J.T. Luther, owner of all abutting
property, has requested that the City vacate the Unnamed street crossing Tract
3-D of the F. S. Perry ur e , Abstract 1226, and `"rat 2 of the E.H. Burke
Survey, bat ract 160, soutkiward and eastward frona West Vickery Boulevard to
Southwest Blvd. Frontage Roa a thin the limits of pit: p sed Phase III,, Ridglea
Country Club Estates, Block 24.
The subjec,t street right-of-way, although hot-topped and in use by the driving
public, is not a dedicated street. The ubject right-of-way also contains
telephone and electric pole Braes crosslng in a north/south direction. Texas
Electric Service Company and Sotithwes tern Belt Telephone wapan both request
that appropriate tip qty easements be retained where "these facilities e ist.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends approval subject
ett
to a repal t of the right-ref-way with the abutting property, physical closure
of the street with curb and gutter at both ends and provision for utility ease-
ments as needed. Satisfactory arrangements have been wade as required and a,.
satisfactory r plat has been submitted.
,Recommendation
It is recommended that an rdinan e be adopted vacating the subject right-of-way
as requested.
