AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A CERTAIN PORTION OF ASHVILLE AVENUE IN THE 7100 BLOCK, A WIDTH OF 60' AND A LENGTH OF APPROXIMATELY 147' FROM ALTA MERE DRIVE EAST TO THE TEXAS AND PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT- OF-WAY, AND AN EASEMENT 8' IN WIDTH CONTIGUOUS TO THE REAR LOT LINES OF LOTS 1A, 2, 3, 4A, 7A, 8, 9, and 10A, BLOCK 5, ALTA MERE ADDITION, A LENGTH OF APPROXIMATELY 147' FROM ALTA MERE DRIVE WEST'' TO THE TEXAS AND PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : SECTION 1. That a certain portion of Ashville Avenue in the 7100 Block a width of 60 feet and a length of approximately 147 feet from Alta Mere Drive east to the Texas and Pacific Railroad right-of-way and an easement 8 feet in width contiguous to the rear lot lines of Lots IA, 2, 3, 4A, 7A, 8, 9 and 10A, Block 5, Alta Mere Addition a length of approximately 147 feet from Alta Mere Drive east to the Texas and Pacific Railroad right-of-way be and the same is hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as a right-of-way for street and easement. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described rights-of- way is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that casements are reserved therein for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. The subject right-of-way ay was acquired by dedication but never improved. Ctt., departments and private utility eompanfes have ren fe ed this request and recommended approval, subject to conditions.
