HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 7834 ORDINANCE NO. 2 4- AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE 50 FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT CROSSING TRACT "A", TARRANT INDUSTRIAL ADDITION AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 388-58, PAGE 953, PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS ; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : SECTION 1. That the 50 foot wide drainage easement crossing Tract "A" , Tarrant Industrial Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-58, Page 953, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas , be and the same is hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as easements for drainage purposes . SECTION 2 . That the fee to the land in said drainage easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained for any and all existing utilities . SECTION 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so ordained. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to this request provided subject property is repl.atted and a satisfactory alternate easement is furnished. A satisfactory replat including an alternate easement has been furnished to the City staff. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easement as requested.
