AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALL DEDICATED UTILITY EASEMENTS CONTAINED WITHIN BLOCKS 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 AND 9 SOUTHLAND TERRACE ADDITION; VACATING FRY STREET IN THE 4300 AND 4400 BLOCKS, A WIDTH OF 50 FEET FROM EAST SEMINARY DRIVE SOUTHWARD AND WESTWARD TO EVANS AVENUE; AND VACATING EAST BROADUS, STREET IN THE 800, 900 AND 1000 BLOCKS, A WIDTH OF 50 FEET FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SOUTH FREEWAY SERVICE ROAD TO THE WEST RIGHT- OF-WAY LINE OF EVANS AVENUE AND FROM THE EAST RIGHT- OF-WAY LINE OF EVANS AVENUE TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF COLE STREET; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That all dedicated utility easements contained within Blocks 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 Southland Terrace Addition, be and the same are hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as easements for utility purposes. SECTION 2. That Fry Street in the 4300 and 4400 blocks, a width of 50 feet from East Seminary Drive Southward and Westward to Evans Avenue; and East Broadus Street in the 800, 900 and 1000 blocks, a width of 50 feet from the East Right-of-Way line of South Freeway Service Road to the West Right-of-Way line of Evans Avenue and from the East Right-of-Way line of Evans Avenue to the West Right-of-Way line of Cole Street; be and the same are hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as rights-of-way for streets. SECTION 3. That the fee to the land in said utility easements and street rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and it is so ordained.
