AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE REMAINING 15 FOOT WIDE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 1,
5 , AND 6 HILLANDALE ADDITION, AND BLOCKS 5,
21 AND 22 FRISCO RAILROAD ADDITION, AND THE
REMAINING RIGHTS-OF-WAY OF TOWNSEND DRIVE
(2500 BLOCK) , GORDON AVENUE (2600 BLOCK) AND
LIVINGSTON AVENUE (2600 BLOCK) ; PROVIDING FOR
A REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the remaining 15 foot wide alleys in Blocks 1, 5
and 6 Hillandale Addition and Blocks 5 , 21 and 22 Frisco Railroad
Addition, and the remaining rights-of-way of Townsend Drive (2500
Block) , Gordon Avenue (2600 Block) and Livingston Avenue (2600
Block) be and the same are hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed as rights-of-way. The specific rights-of-way vacated are
more particularly described as :
a. 315 lineal feet of a 15 foot wide alley located
between Frazier Avenue and Townsend Drive;
and extending north from the W. Robert Street
right-of-way to its termination at the Parkridge I
plat.
b. 206 lineal feet of Townsend Drive, a 50 foot wide
right-of-way street extending south from the
W. Robert Street right-of-way to its termination
at the Parkridge I plat.
C. 618 lineal feet of a 15 foot wide alley located
between Townsend Drive and Gordon Street and
extending north from the McPherson Street right-
of-way to its termination at the Parkridge I plat.
d. 487 lineal feet of Gordon Street, a 50 foot right-
of-way street, extending north from the McPherson
Street right-of-way to its termination at the
Parkridge I plat.
e. 350 lineal feet of a 15 foot wide alley located
between Gordon Street and Livingston Avenue and
extending north from the McPherson Street right-
of-way to its termination at the Parkridge I plat.
f. 215 lineal feet of Livingston Avenue, a 50 foot
right-of-way street, extending north from the
McPherson Street right-of-way to its termination
at the Parkridge II plat.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described rights-of-
way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as
provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained for
any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

National Old Line Insurance Company, with the consent of George Mallick, owner
of all abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the remaining
15 and e alleys in Blocks 1 5 and 6 Hillanda' the Addition, an

co Railroad Addition, and to vacate remaining rights-o -w,a
of Townsend Drive (2500 Block), Cordon Avenue "2600 Block), and Livingston
Avenue (2600 Block), as described on the attached exhibit and as shown on the
attached map.
Subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are neither paved nor open,
except for approximately 300 feet on Cordon Avenue, north of McPherson Street.
Subect rights-of-way contain water, sanitary sewer, electric and telephone
facilities for, which easements are requested to "be retained. The reviewing
City, departments and private utility companies have no objections to this
request, provided the vacated rights-of-way are replatted with the adjoining
land and easements are provided as necessary to protect public facilities,
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an
ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as requested. A replat, has
been submitted to s to f'f,
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
