Hansen have heretofore entered into a lease agreement whereby the City of Fort Worth granted Don E. Hansen certain rights, uses and privileges to conduct aviation activities at Fort Worth Meacham Airport which agreement is more particularly described as City Secretary Contract No. 8181 , as amended, on file in the office of the City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth; and WHEREAS, Don E. Hansen desires to assign all of his right title and interest in a portion of the land leased under City Secretary Contract No. 8181 , as amended, to Advance Aviation Services, Inc. ; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth desires to consent to such assignment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE: That the City of Fort Worth, a municipal corporation located in Tarrant County, Texas, acting herein by and through its Assistant City Manager, hereinafter called "City" , does hereby consent to the assignment by Don E. Hansen to Advance Aviation Services , Inc . of all right , title and interest of Don E. Hansen in that portion of the land known as Lease Site 15-S, leased under City Secretary Contract No. 8181 , as amended, which portion of land consisting of 11,827 square '.feet is described on the survey notes and delineated on the map attached hereto as Exhibit A. _......_. i r aa a 6 MY Such assignment is attached hereto as Exhibit B. City neither adopts , ratifies nor approves any of the particular provisions of such assignment nor shall such document grant any privilege, right or use to Advance Aviation Services , Inc. different from or more extensive than any privilege, right or use previously granted to Don E. Hansen under the above contract . Effective with this consent, Don E. Hansen shall have no further rights to the portion of land assigned hereunder. This consent is expressly conditioned upon the promise and covenant by Advance Aviation Services , Inc . that it will faithfully perform, as an independent contractor, all duties and obligations of Don E. Hansen regarding Lease Site 15-S under City Secretary Contract No. 8181, as amended. it is expressly understood and agreed that Don E. Hansen will remain liable to the City, of Fort Worth for the performance by Advance Aviation Services , Inc. of all duties and obligations of said contract regarding Lease Site 15-S. HANSEN TO ADVANCE AVIATION SERVICES, INC. FORT WORTH MEACHAM AIRPORT RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a consent to assignment of a portion of a land lease from D.E. Hansen to Advance Aviation Services, Inc at Fort Worth Meacham Airport. DISCUSSION: Under City Secretary Contract No. 8181, as amended, D. E. Hansen leases 162,675.64 square feet of land at Meacham Airport. The term of the lease expires on May 31, 2016, and the rental rate is $.033 per square foot per year. Mr. Hansen desires to assign his rights to a portion of the land, consisting of 11,827 square feet, to Advance Aviation Services, Inc. , and he requests the City's consent to that assignment, as is required in the lease. The Aviation Advisory Board at its August 15, 1991 meeting recommended approval of the transfer and assignment agreement between D. E. Hansen and Advance Aviation Services, Inc. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The Aviation Department is responsible for collecting and depositing this revenue.
