HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 26345-08-2023ORDINANCE NO. 26345-08-2023 AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE WATER AND SEWER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,651,368 .00, TRANSFERRED FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS IN THE WATER AND SEWER FUND, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE W /SS REPL CONTRACT NAVAL BASE PROJECT (CITY PROJECT NO. 104344); PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $2 ,651,368 .00, transferred from available fund s in the Water and Sewer Fund, for the purpose of funding the W ISS Rep! Contract Naval Base project (City Project No. 10 4344). SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid , inoperative or void for any reason by a cowt of competentjw-isdiction , such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance 25773-09 -2022 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of thjs ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropr iations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby express ly repealed . Authorize execution of an engineering agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $1,992,700.00, for NASJRB Water and Sewer Main Replacement project; and 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $2,651,368.00, from available funds within the Water & Sewer Capital Projects Fund, for the purpose of funding the WISS Repl Contract Naval Base project (City Project No. 104344) to effect a portion of Water's Contribution to the Fiscal Years 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program. This project will have no impact on the Water Department's operating budget when completed . It is the practice of the Water Department to appropriate its CIP plan throughout the fiscal year, instead of within the annual budget ordinance , as projects commence , additional funding needs are identified , and to comply with bond covenants .
