DISCUSSION: The City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department will develop a comprehensive Citywide Transportation Master Plan which will produce a program of multi -modal projects with clear limits, descriptions, funding sources, cost estimates and start dates. The purpose of this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) is to adopt appropriation ordinances to fund the Citywide Transportation Master Plan project. Appropriations for the Citywide Transportation Master Plan project are as depicted below: Fund I From Project I Existing I Additional Project Total II Funding Funding 30100- General Capital Projects Unspecified -All Funds $0.00 $558,877.00 $558,877.00 Fund 30100- General P00020-Contract Capital Projects Street Maintenance $0.00 $700,000.001 $700,000.00 Fund 30100- General P00129-Transit Capital Projects Initiatives $735,347.00 $0.00 $735,347.001i Fund 30100- General Capital Projects Fund 30100- General P00095-IL Caville/Stop Six P00021-Traffic $O.00i $200,000.00! $200,000.00. Capital Projects System $0.00 $90,000.00 $90,000.00 Fund Maintenance Existing Additional Fund I From Project Project Total 111 Funding Funding Project Total 1$735,347.00 $1,548,877.L$2,284,224.00 Funding for this project was not included in the Fiscal Years 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) because the project and funding sources were unknown at the time of its development. This action in this M&C will amend the Fiscal Years 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program as approved in connection with Ordinance 25773-09-2022. Approval of recommendation 3 would adjust appropriations between a programmable project and convert the Citywide Transportation Master Plan project (City Project No. 104860) into a static capital project. This action is needed as funding for the Citywide Transporation Master Plan project is anticipated from other funding sources and the scope of this project differs from that of the current programmable project. Funding is budgeted in the TPW Dept Highway & Streets Department's General Capital Projects Fund for the purpose of funding the Citywide Transportation Master Plan project. The Citywide Transportation Master Plan project is located in ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS. A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity. FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION: The Director of Finance certifies that funds are currently available in the Unspecified -All Funds project, the Contract Street Maintenance, Caville/Stop Six Roadway Redev and Traffic System Maintenance programmable progjects within the General Capital Projects Fund and upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinances, funds will be available in the General Capital Projects Fund for the Citywide Transportation Master project. Prior to any expenditure being incurred, the Transportation and Public Works Department has the responsibility of verifying the availability of funds. ubmitted for Citv Manaaer's Office bv: William Johnson 5806 Originating Business Unit Head: Lauren Prieur 6035 Additional Information Contact: Monty Hall 8662
