We need to keep access to a gas well but with the 5 8 feet change in grade there is not a safe place to keep access to the trucks near the existing driveway. In coordination with the gas company, there is a gate on the opposite side of the pad that could be relocated and gas well trucks could access the pad from previously constructed concrete pavement. The work is done by a subcontractor that included grading and culvert work in addition to the gate relocation. Price is considered fair and justified, recent bid with similar items can be provided for reference upon request. It is understood and agreed that the acceptance of this Construction Allowance Request by the contractor constitutes an accord and satisfaction and represents payment in full (both time and money) for all costs arising out of, or incidental to, the above Construction Allowance Request. The Project/Program Manager signing below acknowledges that he/she is the person responsible for the monitoring and administration of this contract, including ensuring all performance and reporting requirements. There is a gate on the west side of the gas pad that can be altered to work on a temporary basis. Mitch Aiton Sr Professional Engineer 682-715-9424 06/01 /23 08/14/23 Gas company has a preferred contractor that will do it for $7,400. Price incudes relocating gate, adding culvert for drainage and necessary dirt work for adjusting the grade. They can do the gate and we'll add some flexbase between the gas pad and the roundabout for access while the grade is raised. The proposed price for the gas companie's subcontractor to relocate the gate, add drainage culvert and grading is $7,036.25. On a recent bid for 100146 Keller Hicks, a gate was bid for $2,300, $75/CY for excavation, $50/CY for borrow. Bid tab can be provided upon request. TxDOT average bid prices show a 12" CMP at $55/1-F. The proposed price is fair and justified.
