Therefore, we are seeking $U0.00 per eah meeiin held %r a tota! of $1,Od.00. We had to redesign 390 LF of L-$29 and 1Q1 LF of L-790 during the consiruction phase of this project because a new manhole was discavred and never incorpoTated in the ariginal design. The new manhale was construcied by ihe City's field operations group after the projec was designed and bid which altered th configuration of L-829. WADE was not notified af the changed conditions until after the canstruction o a portion of L-790 and Ir829 had already occunred. We are seeking the recovery of 491 LF of sewer redesign at a reduced fee of $3.OILF (discounted to remove survey costs and generaI design costs} for a tatal of $1,'.5,0 in costs associated with this location. o The final M-21 Part 8 contract amendment item{s} perfarmed involved tha redesign of I28 LF of L-793 and related edits to L-774 plan sheets, including the submission of a railroad permi.t modification. Tlese changes were required to address the fact that the Koch Pipeline was not lacated where the information thy provided us noted it would be found which required the rdesign of the railroad c-ossing af L-793. In arder to complete this praject, we charged ] haurs oi technician time and 4 hours of Senior Engineer time for a total fee of $1,40211 For these activities. - The total amendment iterra cost recovery being requested fot° VI-21, Part 8 is $1,G13.01. Design Services: Sewer Pipeline Relief for the M Drainage Area {M-21 Part 9) In addition to the nurnerous aznendrnent items mentioned above far M-21, we also had other amendment iterns to recover on the M-21, Part 9 projects. These amendment items are itemized as follows: Various swer line extensions were added to this praect ta serve some houses on the north side of Myrtle Street, extending fxam L-147S and L-30'1, respectively. Te line "A" extension was needed to elixninate sewer serviees illegally crossing private property. The line "A" extension was 81 LF at a fe of $7.OS/LF for a total fee of $573.8 for this item. The extension of L-307 to serve MyrtZe 5treet properties, included 3 sewer service re-rautes and the design of 2'15 LF af sewer at a fee of $7.08/LF for a tota7 of $1,947.00. Therefore, the total fee to be recovered for these extens'rons and sewer service reAroutes is $2,20.48. We also had to design a 22$ LF extension of L-544 along New York Ave. to reconfigure the sewer services on either side of the street in order to correct illegal sewer service crossin.g pivate praperties. This Iocation also requzred us to add the design of L-316 (79 LF) into this project in order to fix the problems. The Wade & Assaciates, inc. Consuliing ngineers Page 3 of 3 Mr. 7ohn Boyer September 30, 2002 design fee of $'.48/LF was used which totaed $2,1.i3.G in fees to be recovered far these extensions and service rerautes. • Canducted 3 pre-constructian public meetings for 3 out of the 4 unrts bid under Part 9(Nate: one contractor received the bids for 2 constrction contracts so a meeting was cambined). Thereiore, we are seking $500.00 pear each meeting hed ior a totaI af $,540.00. o The final design location identfied for cost recovery on M-2I 1'art 9 is L-3aS along Magnalia Street from Nerv Yok to TH-35. During the final praject review, fihe City requested that we change our proposed plan that allowed the existing system to remain in sex-vice while tke nev sewers were constructed. The requested change in the pians was made in an effort to accommodate the extensive unitization of this project part. The requircd changes were extensive and affected more tfan 10 design pan sheets. Thereore, we are seeking the recoery of casts associated with this item that resulted in the redesign of 1271 LF of L30 and its connecting laterals, at a dsign fee af $4.66/LF for a total fee of $5,9.86 to be recovered for this item. The total amendment items cost recovery requested for 14 2I, Patt 9 is $IZ,.T I6.90. Therefare, the total costs to 6e recovered associated with the additional actiities and services per%rmed in M-1 Part S and Part 9 Projects are $21,79.91.
