Home My WebLink AboutContract 56396-R2CSC No. 56396-R2 CITY OF FORT WORTH SECOND RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth, ("City"), and Shield Ena_ ineerina Group, PLLC., ("Contractor"), entered into that certain ORIGINAL AGREEMENT (City Secretary #56396, M&C 21-0380) for the PROJECT generally described as: Water and Sanitary Sewer Desia_n Services Contract 2020, and WHEREAS, the ORIGINAL AGREEMENT may be renewed up to 3 times as provided by M&C 21-03 80; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth, ("City"), and Shield Engineering Group, PLLC ("Contractor"), entered into that certain FIRST RENEWAL (City Secretary # 56396-R1, M&C 22-0413); WHEREAS, The City and Contractor desire to renew the ORIGINAL AGREEMENT for an additional term at the same price and funding for said SECOND RENEWAL is available in the budget of the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund, as appropriated in Ordinance # 26473- 09-2023. NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by the City and Contractor as follows: Article I The Scope of Services as set forth in the ORIGINAL AGREEMENT has not changed. Article II The Contractor's compensation shall be in the amount up to $270,000.00. The Term of this renewal agreement shall be effective as of the effective date and shall remain active until the funds are expended or programmed. (City Project No. 103324); and Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance by -increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water and Sewer Capital Projects Fund for the amount of $300,000.00 transferred from available funds within the Water and Sewer Fund for the Water and Sanitary Sewer Design Services Contract 2020 project. DISCUSSION: The Water Department has a need for general engineering design assisting with in-house design projects such as water and/or sanitary sewer main replacement, relocations, repairs and analysis. The Engineer may also provide design for emergency situations including traffic control, erosion control, slope stabilization and other professional engineering or construction services. As engineering work is warranted, the City will issue individual work orders to the Engineer for which a cost determination will be prepared and approved before work begins. The City reserves the option to renew (subject to appopriated funding) this areement three times under the same terms and conditions. In addition to the contract cost, $30,000 (Water: $15,000.00; Sewer: $15,000.00) is required for project management and material testing. This project will have no impact on the Water Department's operating budget when completed.
