Authorize the City Manager to accept funds in the amount of $22,800 from Tarrant Caunty far FY2002-2003 for two Neighborhood Resources Development Program (NRDP) Centers beginning Oetober 1, 2002, and expiring September 30, 2003; and 2. Au�horEze a non-interest bearing, i�ter-fund loan from fh� General Fund to the Grants Fund �n the amoun# of $5,700 for interim financing of ihis grant project, pending contract execution; and 3. Adopt the aitached appropriatior� ordina�ce increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund by $22,800 firom a�ailabls funds. DISCUSSION: Acceptance of funds from Tarrant County for the operat9on of two NRDP Centers from October 1, 2002, through September 3a, 2003, is requested, Following appro�al of the Tarrant County budget, the county will reimburse the City for any operaiing expenses incurred with this project. The Tarrant County Cammissianer`s Cour� has traditionally contributed annually for the operatior� of two NRDP Centers to finance the lease agreements and oparafing expenses as follaws: � The lease for ihe #ar southeast NRDP is $6,300 per year (including water/waste costs); and � The lease for the far northwest NRDP is $9,555 (not including utilities); and � The remaining funds ($6,9A�5} will be used to supplement the costs of utilities and telaphone. The far sou#heast and far northwest NRDP Centers, lacated outside of the city limits of Fort Worth, will contin�re to pro�ide case managament, infarmatian and referral services, client intake and assessment, �mergency assistance, including the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program, and other social ser�ices to low-income households in southeast and northwest Tarrant Counfy. The costs to operate the referenced NRDP Centers are wholly underwritten by fede�al, state and county funds.
