WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and TranSystems
Corporation dba TranSystems Corporation Consultants, (Engineer)
made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 31696, (the
Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-20631
on the 5t' day of April, 2005 and subsequently revised by six
previous amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement for SH-121T (Southwest
Parkway) , Part 1 from Hulen Street to Summit Avenue.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 7
to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised
maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter
dated April 5, 2011, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design
services to be performed by Engineer total $49, 444 .00.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an
increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work
and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not
exceed the sum of $1,485, 677.00.

All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended
herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr.Conlon,
TranSystems(TSC)appreciates the opportunity to provide additional services with respect to the above referenced
project We have prepared this amendment request for services regarding engineering and surveying. These services
are specifically for the relocation of a 42'water line related to SH121T and UPRR Improvements,additional final
design issues and conslniction services. Below is an itemized breakout of these services:
I. Stoneciate Blvd 42"Water Line Design Subtotal$35,618
This design replaces 150 linear feet of shallow 42'water line across Slonegate Blvd.The improvements will
finalize the rerouting of the 42'water One that Is In oonflict with the Hulen St Bridge and UPRR improvements.
The design eliminates future maintenance concerns with the existing concrete encasing pipe and provides
favorable clearance from an adjacent 48'sanitary sewer and TPW facififies. Services include the following:
A. Survey lump Sum $ 8,062
1. Design survey across Stonegate Blvd.right-of-way.
2. Exploratory excavations to identify existing water line elevations. TSC will coordinate with the contractor
to survey points along the existing 42'water fine within Hulen St, 16'water One within Stonegate Blvd.,
and existing joints on the southeast comer of Stonegate Blvd.and Hulen St. These points will define
the limits of the project
3. Research utilities,and coordinate with public utility locators.
B. Conceptual Design Lump Sum $ 4,333
1. Attend meetings with the City to review alternative designs.
2. Develop an evaluation matrix and exhibits for 3 design alternatives.
3. Develop an opinion of probable construction cost for the alternatives.
C. Preliminary Design Lump Sum $ 4,891
1. Attend meetings wilh the City.
2. Develop plan profile sheets.
3. Incorporate City review comments.
4. Develop aerial exhibits to Identify impacts to traffic and local businesses.
D. Final Design Lump Sum $18,182
1. Attend design meetings with the City.
2. Finalize plan and profile sheets.
3. Design 16'water fine connection to proposed 42'water One. Design anchor thrust ring.
4. Design phase 1 traffic control plan for the bore pit on the northeast corner of Hulen St(2 sheets).
5. Design phase 2 traffic control plans for lane closures on Stonegate Blvd.(13 sheets).
6. Design phase 3 traffic oDnW plan for closure of Stonegate Blvd(1 sheet)
7. Attend Water Dept and TPW traffic control review meetings(5 total).
8. Coordinate final desijn with contractor and pipe manufacturer.
9. Develop an opinion of probable cost.
10. Provide change order assistance.

E. Reproduction Lump Sum $ 150
1. Distribute plans to City(mylar and paper sets).
2. Distribute cumulative sets of SH121T Part 18 plans and change order plans to City and Contractor.
II. Miscellaneous Services Subtotal$13,826
The following items are additional services:
A. Construction Services Lump Sum $6,850
The City requires TranSystems to remain active with the SH121T construction phases. TranSystems will
provide backup information and interpret documents when there are questions or changes in the field
conditions. Tasks include:
1. SH121T Part 16 construction meetings(3)and general services. This includes assisting in the
placement of the UPRR meter vault and backflow preventer.
2. SH121T Part 18 constriction meetings and general services.
3. SH121 T Part 18 shutdown site visits.
d SH121T Part 18 Additional Services Lump Sum $6,976
The following items require additional assistance beyond the design scope:
1. Meetings with the City for the Southwest Transmission Main Shutdown on the north side of the Trinity
River(4).
2. Revise sequence of Construction for Southwest Transmission Main Shutdown for Stonegate Blvd.
Improvements.
3. Construction services for placement of a water line within the Kinderplate school property.
4. Redesign of the Hartwood Dr.water line. Includes site visits(3)and redesign.
