Far North Cornznunitv Park Phase II Develonment; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Contract io include an increased scope
c�f waz-k anci/or revised rnaxiznum fee.
NOW, '1'HER.EFORE, City and �c�nsultani, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized represer�tatives, enter into the foIlowing agreement wY�ich amends tY�e cantract:
1.
Article T, Sectzon A of th� Contracf is amend�d to include the additional engineering
services specified in a letter dated December 12. 20D2. a copy of wh�ch is attached hereto and
incorpozated herein.

Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for au increase in th.e maximum fee in
the amo�xnt of $ 2,835.00, which is to be paid to Consultant for alI work and sez�vices under the
Contract,�as amended, sa that the total fee to be paid by City for all wark and services sha11 not
exceed the szun of $ 71,935.00.
3.
All other pravisions of the Cantzact that are not expressly amended herezn shall remain in
full force aald effect. � � �

5cape of Work and indicates t�at if provided, it shall be cansidered reimbursable or extra
��o this cantract. At the time of the preparatiar� of th� ariginal praposal it was though# that
geotecnnical services might not be necessary for this �F�ase. However as the project
developed it became apparent ki�at the geotechnicaf services wEre r�quired to provide
an adequate desi�n and q�ality p�oduct.
A geotechnical investigation was conducted by Terra-Mar and a report was prepared �
entitfed, "Far Nart� Community Park Phase II", TMI Report No. DE02.031. A copy o€ this
��port has �een suppGied ta the'Parks & Commur�ity Services Department: The - �
�e�technical study includes additianal tes# borings at Iocations not previously
investigated. Recommendations based on tFie additional borjngs are provided, including
�riteria far post-tensioned slabs. The eampleted study was also incl�ded in the
���struction t�id documents for the �raject. �
�A copy af Terra Mar's prapasal of $2,835.00 is attached for your review. Copies of
supporting invoices far this expense wi�E be pravided at kY�e time of invoicing, following

Two borings are planr�ed ta investigate subsr�rface conditions at t�e basketball courts and
��kate board park areas. The borings wi11 drilled to tfie top af tan fimes#one or a depth oi 20
f��#, whicf�ever is si�allower. The borings will be sampfed cor�tinuously to 6 feet and at �-foot
�t�t�rvais tf�ereafter. The consistency of bedrock will �e evaluated witi� TxDOT Cone
�"enetrometer test. All samples will be properly lagged, packaged, seal�d, and placed in care
boxes.for transportation to the laboratary. .� � �

cantents, pressure swell, cali�rated penetram�ter tests, and unconfined compression tests.

pres�nted a repo�. Three capies of the fi�al re�ort will �e submitted. The fir�al report will
